We were here during the Presidents Day weekend so not only were the Snow Geese flocking to Middle Creek, but so were the bird watchers! Still the movement of 50,000 to 70,000 Snow Geese, Tundra Swans, ducks and related water fowl during an unusually warm...More

We stopped (2/18/17) looking forward to something spectacular and unfortunately what we saw the most was people and cars, all over. There were swans in the lake but we did not witness a huge migration arriving or departing.

I often come to Middle Creek Wildlife just to get away from the rush of city life, to slow down and to observe creation. I love hiking the trails and have kayaked in the lake as well.

Any time after sunrise when the sun warms things up, the snow geese come and go all day. Flying out to fields to eat, then returning to the water. There is no ice on the lake this year so you can see them any time during... More
