I am not sure why the Encampment Store is listed under King of Prussia rather than under Valley Forge as it is the park store for Valley Forge. As far as a park store, it is much better than the average park store with its large selection of books on Valley Forge and the Revolution in general and a lot of interesting related items. We ended up finding a quite a few items that we purchased and even did some of our Christmas shopping in August for history buffs in our family.

Thank you very much for your review! We strive to have an excellent selection of books, gifts and souvenirs and are always open to suggestions for new books and products. As far as the address goes, our address and that of the Park's administrative offices were changed to King of Prussia several years ago; unfortunately I am unaware of the reason for the change.

This store is located inside the park and is your regular park store. The people were nice and had trinkets as well as books to select from. You can also buy tickets to the Trolley Ride through the park at the store space. The people helped us with a question and even pointed us to some books on the subject that we were discussing.

A group of us took the Trolley tour of Valley Forge park this past Vesterans Day and it was one of the most fascinating 90 minutes we ever enjoyed! Bree, our guide, must have lived through the Revolution in another life: her knowledge of the people, places and events made this history come alive. Just driving around on your own will not do this site justice the way the tour did. Sign up at the Encampment Store, you’ll be glad you did!

We had a private tour and it was great! Our guide was Randy and he had us go through the tour as a soldier in the Continental Army. That was a really interesting point of view! We went at an even pace and did not feel rushed. Randy answered all our questions. He did an awesome job!
At our first stop by the cabins, a fellow was dressed as a soldier and he went over the weapons and clothing that the soldiers had. We were also able to enjoy a very animated story given by one of the storytellers at the "Railroad stop".

The tour was an eye-opener and really puts things into perspective...I think a lot of Americans forget or take things for granted.

Everyone does a great job and service at Valley Forge!

Valley Forge is a must see for all Americans. The trolley tour is an excellent way to really delve into the facts vs myths of Valley Forge and its importance to the American Revolution. The Encampment store has a wide variety of souvenir options.

Every time I visit the park, I go to the Encampment Store. I always find something to buy for myself and for gifts. I always buy my American flags here. The children absolutely love it. I take my grandchildren here to choose a gift whenever they are in town.

The weather of Spring 2015 delayed the opening of many your options. With the wonderful assistance of Graham, we arranged for the most amazing private tour. Randy, our guide, kept even our most tuned out teen engaged, interested, and having fun learning. We are now all reading recommended books and learning about the amazing 1700-1800's for our country. Randy made this come alive. This was the highlight of an amazing trip--- high praise to the folks who made this happen.

The store has a nice collection of items to purchase. There is a sitting area/snack area (vending machines) for those who can't do the walk around the park.
Good selection of books, shirts, cups, glasses and vintage toys.
Staff members are prepared to answer questions on the trails and landmarks.
This store is not in the King of Prussia mall, it is a gateway to the historical park.

This is a great place to hire bicycles to tour Valley Forge. Bikes are in good condition and helmets are provided. You can hire for 2 hours or the whole day and enjoy the area. Trails are fairly well marked out and different levels of difficulty from fully paved to more gravel and hilly by the river.
Being on a bicycle means you can travel the park really easily and cover a lot of ground and see the area very well.

Gift selection is unique- not the same things you see in every other Nation Park gift shop. They also book tours of the park- exceptional in service and extremely informative. Highly recommend.
