We took the shuttle for the 25 mile ride along the Leigh Valley Gorge. The trail it self is beautiful. The first 10 miles is particularly beautiful. The last few miles run along the rail road and are less scenic. The trail is well maintained and mostly flat. No up hill sections and no steep down hills. The shuttle ride took about an hour and we took about 4.5 hours on the trail including stops for lunch and scenery. We brought our own bikes. I am giving 3 stars because the experience with the Pocono Biking shuttle itself was not what I expected. I called to ask about COVID precautions before making my reservation. They said they were limiting the number of people on the shuttle for social distancing. However, we were loaded onto a nearly full yellow school bus. The shuttle felt more crowded than I expected. Windows were not open. I opened mine for the ride but most other passengers kept them shut. They did require masks and the other passengers were compliant. Overall, the ride was beautiful and I would do this again but I would not book this shuttle until we are beyond the need for COVID precautions.

I had been looking forward to this biking adventure, but ended up being very disappointed. First, we were packed into a very full yellow school bus for over an hour to get to the starting point. People wore masks and bus windows were open, but no other Covid-19 precautions. Also you need to allow a lot of extra time to get there due to massive traffic congestion and distant parking in the town of Jim Thorpe. We took the 25 mile ride, which is supposed to take three to five hours. We got on the trail at 1:40PM and were concerned that we would not make it back to the bike rental location in Jim Thorpe before the 6:00PM closing time, so we did not take time to stop and read the historical plaques or look at the locks or other scenic features. The bikes that they gave us were bad. My bike was a heavy steel frame mountain bike with a very hard seat and was configured so that I had to lean very far forward to pedal. Definitely not a "comfort bike". I also felt like there was some price gouging going on. No "senior discounts" even mid-week and I had to pay an extra $5 to rent a basket to put on the bike to carry our lunch and water supply, etc. The trail itself is very nice and in good condition, but it is not what I would call "downhill". It is basically flat with no uphill segments. My advice would be to get an early start so that you can ride at a more leisurely pace and take rest stops to look at the scenery. I would not use Pocono Biking again. If we did this again, we would bring our own bikes and use one of the smaller shuttle services.

I had an excellent experience using their "full monty" shuttle to start my 36 mile ride back to Jim Thorpe. Eveyone was friendly and the process of loading and unloading the bikes was well organized. I brought my own bike and they treated it with obvious care.

I used the Pocono Biking shuttle service to ride the D&L trail full gorge from White Haven to Jim Thorpe. I had my on bike but they also have rentals. I'm glad I found them as it was nice to be able to ride the 25 mi trip 1 way which allowed me to see more. Customer service people that handled the reservation were friendly. The entire process was great, easy bus ride with a friendly driver cracking jokes along the way. Scenery in the gorge was fabulous.

If I could give them a Million stars for saving our trip I would! I was with a group of 8 that initially booked with another biking outfit and had such a bad experience with the Owner. Pocono Biking was able to accommodate us with short notice. They were in strict compliance with State Mandated Mask policy. Every person we worked with was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The Trek MTBs that we were on were well maintained - they assisted with seat adjustments and checked breaks before we left from White Haven. Returning the bikes to the Jim Thorpe location was easy as they are located right off the trail. The shuttle driver was an excellent driver and punctual. The ride from White Haven to Jim Thorpe is beautiful and flat. There is a waterfall along the way that has a picnic table -- so if you are looking for a scenic lunch spot keep going until you reach the waterfall. I can't wait to come back and ride with Pocono Biking!
