Enormously Fun and Enjoyable Murder Mystery Weekend

Spent Halloween weekend at the mansion and had a terrific time. The food was fantastic, owners, Pat & Bob and their son, Taylor, were excellent hosts.

We visited for the Murder Mystery Weekend The mansion was incredible .Pat and Bob were wonderful hosts. Eleven couples in a historic renovated 19th century mansion together to experience and participate in a murder mystery. Bob's comical and passionate trip through history had us laughing and intrigued. No,I will not tell you whodunnit. An added bonus was the Jim Thorpe... More

We went to Jim Thorpe for the first time as a day trip. The mansion tour is a must-see if you are interested in history, architecture, craftsmanship, and/or historic preservation. The most intriguing aspect being the fact that the interior is completely original, just as the Packer family left it. There are no reproductions or recreations. The woodwork is exquisite.... More

The Harry Packer Mansion is another wonderfully preserved Victorian style home. The design, furnishings and the grandious style of the home reflects the wealth of Harry Packer and his family enjoyed. But it also tells the story of hard working, innovative man who brought jobs, homes and security to a mountain area of Pa. That was so remote, it may... More

The Harry Packer is pictured above, which offers accommodations for the night. Asa Packer Mansion, is the light colored building lower on the hill. The Asa, which HERE isn't the place for you to review for it, is the building that has all the original contents, carpeting, drapes even down to the forks and knives ALL ORIGINAL! This is the... We have been going to Jim Thorpe for many years and we have stayed at both Asa Packer and Harry Packer Mansions. We have participated in a Murder Mystery Weekend at one of the mansions. Very enjoyable. Quite obviously we enjoy this town we... More

Did the First Friday wine tasting and also came back with friends for drinks before dinner elsewhere. The owners work hard at upkeep and it is a step back in time. Enjoyable visit if in Jim Thorpe.
