Sorry, you missed us. The information was on the Sanctuary website and is now updated with TripAdvisor. We just closed last Monday , takes a little time to get all the off season ducks in a row. I do hope you can return next season. More

Simply a wonderful place to visit and commune with one of nature's most beautiful creatures. Informative as well.

Great experience for kids to learn about butterflies and frogs. A lot of hands on activities to do about butterflies and other bugs. Great staff - very friendly and willing to answer questions.

Who doesn't like butterflies? This family attraction is good for all ages. We enjoyed several hours at the Scantuary. There was an excellent educational film, followed by an interactive presentation that explained pollination, the parts of a butterfly and how to care for our Earth. There were art projects, puzzles and other games to explore. Poison dart frogs were also... More

This play may appear geared for kids, but as adults, we loved the place. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and can answer all questions. The woman who started this is fascinating to talk to. She also give a presentation which is geared for kids, but I learned a lot and I already knew a lot. In addition to butterflies, there... More

We took our 6 year old granddaughter to Bear Mountain Butterfly Sanctuary. She is fascinated with butterflies and already knew quite a bit about their life cycle, but she totally enjoyed her visit there. It was really neat to be able to hold the butterflies, and they also landed on your clothing. There was a also a room with frogs... More

Very interesting, but please...get rid of all those fake goudy flowers and make the place look more natural. We learned a lot and this is a wonderful place to bring children.

thanks for reviewing us, we appreciate the feedback. I get it. The problem is , we can't put real vines and flowers up high where the silk ones are, there is not enough sun or ventilation to keep them healthy. Believe me, we have tried. The butterflies need lots of perches and resting places and they use the silk plants... More

Visited with our 2 year old yesterday. She loved looking at the cool bioluminescent fish, dart frogs, butterflies and salamander! She also enjoyed the pollinator skit, especially the part where they dressed me up as a butterfly. The place is clearly run by a teacher - lots of hands on activities for the kids. It's a fun way to teach... More
