We had a wander through the Village when we recently visited Kosciusko. Plenty of interesting shops with just about everything you could need, including places to eat. Prices were exactly what you would expect for a high tourist area.

Thredbo is a great skiing village. Once you arrive you don't need to use your car as everything is within walking distance or a you can use the village bus.

We visited Thredbo Village and enjoyed the area immensely. The tracks are great for walking and the chair lift is a quick way up if you want to walk up to Mount Kosciusko. The alpine flowers were beautiful and it was a great place for photography. The village itself is very quiet but there are still some cafes and bars... More

We have not visited Thredbo for a few years, so we thought to return this year. We were able to secure a two bedroom apartment two days before our trip, and spent wonderful 3 days at the village. Hiking to the mountain peak, biking with rented mountain bike, it was great bounding time for us! We all enjoyed it, will... More

We went when there was no snow on Friday flat and so lessons were run up on Merrits. Having the choice between Thredbo and Perisher for children's all day lessons, Thredbo was no only less expensive but had plenty of instructors on hand and allowed parents to go up on the lift to be with their kids at no extra... What a great place. Everything you need. Views are breath taking. Although in Europe we would call these "hills" rather than "mountains", this place was incredibly charming. Clean, warm and close to all amentities. The atmosphere was beautiful and everyone was super friendly. We will be back!

The 'Guest Services' at Thredbo is basically a scam. We knew the conditions at the end of the season could be variable so we rang ahead the day before leaving to the 'Thredbo Guest Services' number. They told us conditions were great and there's plenty of snow for the kids to enjoy tubing and sledding. Many hours in the car... More

The most picturesque little village with really happy friendly staff. Great food venues and bars for a quiet or not so quiet drink. No wonder the staff are so happy ! I would be too if I lived there. Crisp is an understatement. Pack your ski gear you will need it ! Apparently even in summer it can snow so... More
