We started our trip to NSW and came across Coolangatta Winery
Mitchell was our guide through both the history of the estate and the tasting process with no pressure to divert from our taste preferences but expertly easing us with the best options. But for time and necessity of driving we would have ventured further to the wine spectrum.
A visit will be well spent but booking for a group above 4 a necessity. You won’t be disappointed 😊

You would surely expect clean and fresh smelling rooms in the accommodation at this winery.
My experience was that of dirty, smelly and non functioning air conditioning and television equipment, mouldy and dusty rooms. Bathroom had a safety mat covered in black mould. Would not recommend staying there unless you could inspect before committing to the cost of the stay. Very disappointed ! I wonder if the local health dept at council are aware of the conditions. Do not stay in room 28 or 32.

Wine was good, but the restaurant and service was terrible. We ordered food over lunch. Not only did it not arrive for more than an hour, we followed it up twice and then the staff shut the kitchen entirely meaning it never came.
The refund they provided was an average bottle of wine and two cans of lemonade. It was a very disappointing experience. We will not be returning.

Our monthly bus trip today was a visit to Coolangatta Winery Estate NSW. It would have to be one of the top 10 best day trips we have had. Firstly the weather was just perfect for the beautiful setting at Coolangatta Estate. The staff went above and beyond doing everything possible to ensure we had a wonderful day. Maree was my first contact & a tremendous help in organising our visit. Bruno, who has a wealth of knowledge about the history of Coolangatta, gave us a wonderful insight to the history dating back 200 years, followed by a wine tasting that included 6 of their wines made from their own home grown grapes. Sadly we had a few last minute dropouts due to various reasons and I am so sorry they missed out, but the general consensus amongst us all as we were leaving is that this is one day trip that we will definitely revisit, it was so good. A huge thank you to all of the staff who looked after us.

We did the “Couples Experience” and loved it, just us and the guide. Finished with a wine tasting and deli board. So much history, to hear about. Easy walking and set for the couple doing the experience. Well worth the cost.

Last minute plan but easily the best part of our weekend! Easy online booking for a private tasting time for two. Beautiful location and professional staff. Great wines and really enjoyed Tony's knowledge, expertise and good humour. Overall made for a great stop, and we'll definitely be back to try their next release of wines. Couldn't recommend more!

Great charcuterie boards, wine flights.
We enjoyed the sparkling and Tannant.
Worth a visit, laid back and relaxing.
Thank you Coolangatta Estate.

We had a wine tasting here - there were 8 of us and we were greeted by the gorgeous Marie who was the best hostess ! The wines are lovely and the semillion and 12 convicts are amazing.
Gorgeous cheese platter and some beautiful wines made our day -sat in the sun looking at the views - we will come back !

I'd stayed here a few years ago and enjoyed it so we returned. We were booked into the 'Servants Quarters' as we wanted a stove. There was a very noisy possum in the ceiling above my bed and evidence of brown pee coming through the ceiling boards. My friend downstairs had bugs crawling across the bed and a cockroach on the wall. We were moved after we complained into larger accommodation at 'The Lodge'. This was an improvement but also came with wildlife inside including a largish spider, flying termites, caterpillars, ants and a cute lizard. It rained one night and the roof leaked onto the carpet leaving a saturated area in the living room. We decided we won't be returning.

Winery is about a 20 minute drive from Nowra on the Bomaderry side of the Shoalhaven River out towards the Shoalhaven Heads.
Winery has quite a large outside seated area as well as a reasonably sized cellar door. There was a tasting fee of $10 per person for a tasting of 6 wines and we pre-booked. The choice of wines for us was between different vintages of Semillon, Savagnin, Tannat, Cabernet Sauvignon and Tempranillo. They do however produce other wines.
Whilst the grapes are grown locally we noticed on the label that the grapes for the Semillons and some other wines are sent to Tyrrells in the Hunter Valley for vinification.
Unfortunately the young lady who looked after our needs was only able to offer us some very basic commentary regarding the wines.
We did enjoy the aged Semillons.
