Went into the park just to ride the toboggan Hill a few times with the girlfriend as she'd never done it before. Was a decent hill with plenty of speed! Changed toboggans as the first one was worn out. The second one went heaps better!...More

OMG A costly choice. We went with friends i.e. two families and thought we were being wise with our money by buying the multi pass. It included the toboggan run, maze, rock climbing wall and hot ice rink. You are allowed a turn on each....More

Toboggan park was fun ! Kids loved the toboggan ride. Bring your money with you as it’s not cheap. But a good day out. Make sure you bring food with you as they only have pies and sausage rolls

I've visited this park so many times as a kid, and it was always a fun time. Best to go in the summer, and it's not too pricey. It's quite close to the town too.

Went there and took my 3 year old on several rides of the toboggan. She had a blast. Only changes I could recommend would be more than one track and updating the inside venue as is very dinky and outdated. Otherwise we had a great...More

Hi - anyone got any must-see's and do's for children (aged 4 and 2) ... we have got the Oakvale Farm noted and Toboggan Hill Park noted. And which is the best dolphin and/or whale watching tour to go with? And how rough is the 'voyage'? Also do you have to book to take the ferry across from Nelson Bay to Tea Gardens?

Hi Quinny - there is plenty to do up there, and it's hard to beat the simplicity of spending time by the water on any of the little bays and beaches in the area. We have stayed in Nelson Bay several times including 4 nights this April, and have already booked another week in September (we have primary aged children). One of the highlights for us on a previous trip was a 4wd tour of Stockton beach - it offered something for everyone, the adrenaline of driving over the dunes, the beauty of...More
