Having come to Lord Howe Island 8 times it took until now to discover that between the Airport runway and the lagoon is a tiny beach which is sheltered and a perfect little getaway. Not that there are crowds as only 400 visitors are allowed on LHI at any time but usually my wife considers a crowd is 2 other... More

What a picturesque beach. Such a gorgeous stretch of sand with the most amazing coral reefs to explore and enjoy. We never got tired of walking, swimming or just gazing at this lovely spot.

The residents of Lord Howe Island know how to take care of their tourists. Once they have met you, they remember you. One morning my husband and I were out for our after-breakfast walk, and it started to sprinkle. Two different residents stopped to offer us a ride.

Crystal clear very calm water. Great for a swim or snorkeling. Lovely place to watch the sunset and birds return from sea to nest.

This spot is the busiest as it is the easiest to access though I wouldn't call it crowded. I recommend the stand up paddleboarding.

We always fly in to Lord Howe Island via over the Lagoon. It's incredible. The crystal clear blue water intertwining with various reefs is hypntosing in beauty. Plenty of activities available, snorkelling, kayaking, paddle board - heaps. Nice just to sit back and look out over the beautiful waters and relax.
