Great tour. We weren't sure that the tour would be able to go ahead as it was pouring just 45 minutes before we were due to go, but true to Lord Howe Island weather it changed completely and was completely fine with some sunshine by 1pm. Peter decided to do things a bit differently due to the weather, so we... More

This ws good, but viewing from th e small window inthis crowded small boat was difficult. Saw fleeting glimpses of a couple of turtles, some nice colourful fishes.

We had a lovely afternoon with Pete sailing to North Bay for a walk along the beach learning about the birds and eve spotting a ghost crab. This was followed by afternoon tea (including yummy home made chocolate cake) and a walk to Old Gulch. Then off to snorkel near the wreck. Finally, we spent some time looking for turtles... More

We had a great morning, with lots of colourful fish, turtles and even stingrays found in the crystal clear waters. Peter very patiently manuvered his glass bottom boat so that everyone got a chance for photos and viewing. At North Bay, morning tea was provided, and chance to walk to Mt Eliza or Old Gulch. A walk along the beach... More

Having been to North Bay with Pete of Islander Cruises twice before, I had no hesitation booking for 6 of us on "North Bay Nature & Turtle Tour". We missed Pete as he was "off-island", but Brian gave us just as wonderful an experience. We wanted to go 'all-day including lunch', but, when this wasn't on offer, we arranged to... More

Our group went with Islander Cruises three times: one to North Bay which included some snorkelling, another snorkelling in other parts of The Lagoon, and a cruise to Ball's Pyramid and around Lord Howe Is (we were lucky that the wind had eased near the end of our trip). Highly recommended.

It would be hard to not get it right given the beautiful scenery of Lord Howe Island but Peter and his staff excel in making people comfortable and ensuring a good time. We went on two trips - on the glass bottomed boat to North Bay, and also the snorkelling cruise. Peter is attentive, very experienced and highly informative. He... More

Stunning bird life and more on this round island cruise - circumnavigating lord howe and gaining insight from all angles on the remarkable landscape of this heritage listed island. Takes quite a white and if your into birdwatching don't forget your binoculars.

Management response:

Hi Lucinda, The round island cruise is as you say a perfect way to grasp the size and diversity of the island. I particularly enjoy how different the mountains look from behind. Thanks for your review Pete More

We couldn't have asked for a better way to get in the water, see some of the pristine snorkelling spots and walk along beautiful North Bay beach to see all the newly hatched and nesting Terns. Can't thank Pete enough for the phone calls and carefully considered , best times he chose during our week on Lord Howe. I did... More

W e went on two cruises, one glass bottomed boat on the Lagoon and one a Barbecue Lunch at North Bay. Lord Howe Island is a paradise off the Coast of NSW. You walk or ride a bike. We stayed at Pinetrees Lodge and walked to the Cruise Boatshed.
