We have been lucky enough to travel many times up and down East Coast of Australia and stay at the many, many beautiful spots along our coast. What we find interesting is the huge amount of Council Signs at most coastal towns and locations displaying "NO" to anything and everything. You would think there a competition between the councils who can display the most NO Signs.. If there was a competition for NO between councils we thought that maybe Coolum Beach, Noosa, Gold Coast, Byron Bay or Crescent Head would win.. But NO hands down Lennox Head is by far the Winner.. Not only for how many signs but also the size.. There NO DOGS Signs are so Huge and Big they could nearly get mentioned on the Australian list of big things along side the Big Pawn at Ballina and others...

Whilst staying in Lennox Head recently, our accommodation was situated opposite Lennox Head Beach. What a beautiful beach this is. From our observation, it is popular with surfers and board riders alike. It seems to go on forever. It is certainly a big plus for Lennox Head. We enjoyed our walks along the beach and along the foreshore.

A great, flat sandy beach for walking. As it is dog friendly we got to meet all breeds and spoke with many locals who are also very friendly, lol. Also, the water was still beautiful and warm for this time of year.

Loved the beach, the dog walking area. Nice easy, relaxed, long beach. Quiet and peaceful walking. Awesome beach. Surf and views are really worth the walk. All the doggies loved it. Just a pity there was are rain bomb above us starting, but still worth the walk.

13km walk Lennox head to Ballina - so manny different beaches 7 mile, Boulder, sharpes, Angels, Shelleys, lighthouse. The cliff top views are amazing. Great track all the way.....take Blanches bus back from Ballina to Lennox for under $10. Great afternoon or morning hike.

Located along the little village by the sea, of Lennox Head, this area has another glorious beach to enjoy a great walk along the sand.

Predominantly an unpatrolled beach except for a small area, positioned in front of the local Life Saving Club.
it is a popular beach with surfers and there was a local surfing completion going on while I visited here- this is obviously why I had trouble finding a parking spot.

Summer at seven mile beach with your car is a great place to visit. Just pick up a permit from a parking/dispensing meter opposite the cafe and surf club, across from lake Ainsworth and off you go down the beach track. Beaches are clean and great for water sports. Sand is hard, so an ordinary awd is adequate. Definitely worth a place to visit.

Great spot for surfers
7 mile beach ( southern end) is so good for snorkeling. there is a spot protected from the crashing waves ( though at times current) Its not a coral reef, but more seaweed/rock.
Been searching for a pace to snorkel from the beach for AGES! This was pretty good. Able to swim from beach. Watch your step - Loads of manta-ray / stingray, reef fish.
I had great visibility.

water not too deep. * best to do on high tide

We stayed in Byron Bay. Nice but very busy. If I was a surfer I would head here. Great waves, places to eat, smaller and quaint. Not as busy and many neat shops.

There are four really great parts of the Lennox Head Beach known as Nine Mile Beach.
For surfers the right hander off the headland is one of the best on the East Coast when the swell is running.
For families with small children the area at the Southern end of the beach has small easy waves created by a reef a couple of hundred meters of the beach.
For folk looking for real body surfing and fun in the waves the area in front of the surf club at the northern end on the beach is patrolled and ideal.
At the northern end of the Village is Lake Ainsworth. A great swimming and canoeing option. The foreshore is a great picnic or BBQ area, well sheltered by the trees and has good BBQ's for the public use.
The Lennox Head Village is part of the beach and has restaurants, cafes, bakery and ice creamery together with other shops the make the whole Lennox Head experience extremely pleasant.
Lennox Head Beach (also know as Nine Mile Beach) is a place for families, couples and surfers.
