    Quite a busy attraction.
Took some family members here during a morning in Kiama. It was a bit chilly with the wind but the sun was shining. The blow hole was in fine form with spray coming at constant intervals. There is plenty of room to wait and see either at the top or down the stairs. There is also a good view out to the pacific from the lookouts as well. Plenty of parking for those coming to have a look.

    Well worth a visit.
We were here at a time of no wind so the blow was not that spectacular. Do not let that put you off going, it's nature. We still had a few good pictures and hearing the oohs, ahhs of adults and squeals of children made it worth going.

It is a must to see when you visit Kiama area. The sound and the water movement are both amazing. I suggest tourists to see Kiama blowhole first before going to Little Blowhole as the later one is even more powerful. Kiama blowhole is near kiama lighthouse and the rock pool so you can plan to visit all 3 together easily. There are different viewpoints for Kiama blowholes and i prefer the ones closer to the hole.

Something to definitely see when you head to Kiama.

It was super windy so the blowhole itself had some high spurts.

Definitely talk warm clothing with you to Liana as it’s super windy and chilly. A group of ladies got wet as they were watching the blowhole & were seriously surprised it sprayed them! So you may wish to take spare clothes (in case).

My third visit to Kiama in 10 years and the first stop of course had to be the blowhole. The swell was high during our visit so we got glorious performances each time we went to check it out. Be warned you might get wet! There are stairs down to the nearest viewing area but the less mobile can still get great views from over looking platform and car park.

Easy to Reach but it was tricky getting parking with all slots nearby totally full but then it was the holiday season so it’s ok.
Excellent fish n chips shop just at a two minute walk and they had beer as well that you can drink while waiting for your order and fairly priced.
Was a lot tide when we visited so didn’t really see the water hitting the rocks but then there is always a next time .
In all a great spot for a day out with family the kids will love the kiddy pool :)

We visited during the 2019-2020 bushfires and as such the attraction was not busy at all; far fewer people than usual. As it was not busy we therefore had a great view of the blowhole and lots of space to explore the surrounding area. The blowhole was cool and apparently it is active all the time which is strange as I thought it may change with the tides etc. The adjacent area is also nice to explore with lots of rock pools and great sea views. I would certainly suggest visiting, however if venturing out onto the rocks beyond the blowhole I would recommend good footwear and high levels of caution as it can be quite dangerous!

The activity of the blue blow hole depends on the waves and the wind. We stayed three days in Kiama and each time the blow hole did not disappoint. The helpful Tourist Information Centre is also here, plus the Pilot's Cottage Museum worth a look for the history of Kiama (not really a kids museum though).

Places like this are always of interest to us and on our first visit the Blowhole obliged us with regular spectacular plumes of water.
This visit either the tides or wind direction possibly weren’t working in our favour but we got the occasional plume!
I subsequently heard that plumes are most likely when the seas are running from the south east.
Well worth the visit!

Accessible to all, with steps and a ramp, the blowhole and lookout are easily navigated and there are safety fences all around (unlike when we used to holiday here as kids in the late 70s and early 80s). The vista is amazing (especially prior to dusk) with the lighthouse and sunset to the west, and the contrast of the black and brown rocky outcrop against the deep blue of the ocean. You, or your kids can have a bit of a hike around the rocks, but be careful trying to cross to the small rock island peninsula (if the tide starts coming in, you might have to swim back across). There are the most beautiful rock pools just metres around to the northern side of the site. Most importantly, however, check the tides if you want to see the best sprays from the blowhole, high tide is best.

This is an easily accesible attraction with plenty of free parking. From kids to grannies, loved up couples and singles, there wasn't a sad face among anyone visiting while we were there. The blowhole was active and is easily viewed from several surrounding safe locations. Must see if in or driving through Kiama.

There is more than one attraction at the blow hole. The views are beautiful, the lighthouse is lovely and nearby is the lighthouse cottage museum so spend some time here and enjoy. There are also toilets and a cafe. Plenty of parking but can get busy at weekends and holidays. The blowhole itself is sometimes quiet depending on which way the waves are going. But when the conditions are right it’s spectacular! From here you can also walk down the black beach
