Stocking local produce and a wide range of souvenirs, Gundagai Visitor Information Centre is located on the left hand side of the main street (Sheridan Street) as you come into town.

The friendly staff can guide you to all the attractions Gundagai has to offer. Take the Heritage Walking Tour to capture the essence of this historic and fascinating township.

Gundagai's best kept secret is Rusconi`s Marble Masterpiece on display at the Visitors Centre, 20,948 pieces of carved NSW marble taking 28 years to complete. This one man`s hobby has become a must see.

Enquire at the counter for an audio tour of the old Gundagai Gaol, where Captain Moonlight the bushranger was sentenced and spent the night.

In Carberry Park adjacent to the centre are the Dad, Dave, Mum and Mabel copper statues, wonderfully sculptured by Aurel Ragus.

The visitor centre also books Greyhound and VLine and Trainlink coach and train services and sells cruise holidays, plus travel insurance.

I wasn't expecting this to be so good. We went in as a family, kinda thinking we'd driven a long way so we ought to see something, and gave this single feature exhibition a go. We were incredibly surprised. The display is amazing. The audio explanation helped us all, even the two kids (7&10) to appreciate the workmanship and precision... More

We were amazed at the awesome detail in this work by Frank Rusconi, housed in the Information Centre. There is a charge to see it but really worth the $3!!

A sign at the start of town says 'Ask to see the Rusconi Marble Masterpiece at Visitor Information'. I thought it was a practical joke - but no, it exists and is well worth the $3 entrance fee. It is a model cathedral about 4 feet high made from 20000+ pieces of marble from various NSW quarries. It took Rusconi... More

Contained within the Visitor information centre is the magnificent marble creation of Frank Rusconi. Taking 28 years to build and made entirely of NSW marble, there are over 20,000 individually carved pieces and a further 9,000 that had been discarded. There are no known drawings or blueprints and each section was created individually without each stage being constructed until its... More

The coach stop, the Dad Dave Mum & Mable statue, the marble structure on show puts this Information Centre ahead of many other Information Centres. Service is great.

I always like to visit the info centre of a town, even when (like this instance) my stay is only an overnighter. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Discovered the Marble Masterpiece, Captain Moonlites grave, and more.
