When we arrived the top viewing area was being renovated, but could still walk down the track. The path is well made, a combination of sloping path and formed wooden stairs. Easy walk and not too far. Pretty view that would be spectacular after a recent rain

We drove from Uralla to Dangar Falls via Scenic Drive 19 and we were not disappointed with the beauty that nature had to offer on the way.

Gostwyck Chapel is a beautiful little church that you get to make your way to through unfenced farmland and we even had to slowly drive through a herd of sheep to get there. However, once there you won't be disappointed as the chapel is gorgeous even without its autumn colours and the area is well worth a photo opportunity.

Dangar Gorge was our next stop and we were even greeted by cows and their calfs on the way. The area offers camping, BBQs, picnic tables, good quality public toilets with water for washing and the view is spectacular. The waterfall may not have been running but you could still walk and even swim in the stream.

Overall this drive is beautiful if you are in Tamworth and love capturing some shots of nature.

If you are looking for an interesting detour while travelling near Dorrigo, Dangar Falls could be just what you need to break up your trip. The falls themselves are surprisingly picturesque, a small ~30m waterfall along the Beilsdown River located about 2 km away from Dorrigo (off Coramba Road), in the New England Tablelands. Not to be confused with Dangarsleigh/Dangars Falls near Armidale. Good for a short bush walk (be careful not to fall). You do not have to walk far from your car to see the falls. A neat spot for a picnic, photos or to stretch your legs.

Easy to access via a drive and a walk and the water is divine. Nice to be able to have a swim and stand under the falls.

It's a beautiful waterfall. You can look from the viewing platform or walk down to the pool. There is a boardwalk but the last few minutes of walking is a bit dicey when wet. However it is worth the risk. I never tire of photographing this waterfall and river. Worth a visit.

Always popular and more than just a wonderful waterfall. There is a nice viewing platform to look over to the falls and if that is all you have time for or the heart and energy for that is sufficient.
If you feel a little more energetic or want to wear out those talkative kids, take the track tyo the bottom looking back to the waterfall and even take as plunge and swim out to the falls.
The falls are impressive when there has been some rain but always picturesque.

It has been a few years since our last visit. Dangar Fall never disappoints. Big car park, easy short stroll to the viewing platform. And what a spectacular view it is. You can walk down to the bottom for a different angle and a swim.
There are toilets and a nice children's playground. A must do if you are in the area..

There is a great view of the waterfall from the viewing platform, but if you have half an hour to spare the walk to the bottom is well worth it. Takes less then 10 minutes to get to the base and it's a lovely spot for a swim on a hot day!

A short walk down to Dangar Falls (which flows in all weather) suitable for all people except those in wheelchairs (NOTE: Not to be confused with Dangarsleigh Falls which is off Dangarsleigh Rd near Ebor). The walk is mostly boardwalk with a few steps and bitumen. Can be slippery down on the rocks around the rockpool so wear good footing. Quite pretty, and impressive as enclosed. Bring the camera, you'll need it.
