- Bronwyn HDunoon, Australia27 contributionsByron tricks. We fell for the $45 “Sunday Roast” advertising. Turns out there was also a $10 surcharge each, because it was Sunday. (Could I have a Sunday Roast on Monday?). 1 drink included but charge for bubbly water, extra for desserts and starters, and then add the GST. The $45 Sunday Roast turned out to be $83 and not so special. Won’t be falling for this price gouging again.Visited January 2024Traveled with familyWritten January 17, 2024
- Yuzutravel2 contributionsGreat stop on route to byron give the tour a missIts been a few years since we visted the farm and it has lost abit of its magic. We started with the 10.30am tour however that was not at all interactive or give us much insight into the farm. It would definitely not be at all interesting to children however more suited to older couples interested in the business model. (Most of the businesses that operate are tenants of the farm). A few people left the tour early. Just save yourself the money and do a self guided tour. There are bee hives, chickens, pigs, horse which you can view yourself and a macadamia farm from which you can forage for nuts for with a cracking machine on picnic tables. The lunch at three blue ducks was very nice and service also really good. The coffee as someone else has mentioned leaves quite a bitter aftertaste. The gelato next to the play ground is definitely a highlight. Thanks for taking the time to review The Farm - we appreciate your feedback!Written June 9, 2024This response is the subjective opinion of the management representative and not of Tripadvisor LLC.Visited March 2024Traveled with familyWritten March 1, 2024
- VictoriaAthensAthens, Greece321 contributionsDelicious food, fresh ingredients, beautiful setting!Lovely farm-to-table place, serving delicious food, in a beautiful setting. My favourite thing about it (other than the food), was the lovely walk around the farm afterwards. Remember to book ahead because it's usually packed. Perfect for a Sunday brunch (with or without kids). Thanks for your review, we're so happy you enjoyed The Farm - and the food!Written June 9, 2024This response is the subjective opinion of the management representative and not of Tripadvisor LLC.Visited August 2023Traveled with familyWritten March 20, 2024
- MezeSydney, Australia131 contributionsExcellent school holiday program activities for kids and delicious food in the restaurant. Always love visiting!Firstly - it is a fun place to see and a neat place for the kids to explore. It's easy to explain to kids the farm environment and animals with it all being safe and easy (kids love farms). The outdoor seating has enough shade/sun to be a good balance, and the outdoor playground is great for the kids to play and meet other kids too. Secondly, the activities organised for the holiday period were awesome. I didn't think my kids would get into it so much, but they were run really well and the kids were interested and engaged. These included: Mini Farm Kids. A day that was run by the two nicest teachers from 9am to 3pm. It included candle making, soap making, weeding and planting seedlings, collected eggs and fed the animals. The kids came home so inspired and have regurgitated information every day since. The kids LOOOOOOOVED playing there and we were there for a few hours. I always really love the food! We order from the cabinet and take it all outside and eat on the tables while the kids play. Lastly, the other families there were so nice and friendly, and there were plenty of other kids to play with. Thanks so much for a special holiday experience. It was very last minute booking into the holiday program, but our two boys had a ball. Please thank the lovely two teachers for us!Thanks for taking the time to write such a detailed review, and we're so happy you and your family enjoyed your experience at The Farm. We look forward to having you back soon!Written June 9, 2024This response is the subjective opinion of the management representative and not of Tripadvisor LLC.Visited April 2024Traveled with familyWritten April 24, 2024

We called in for a coffee and cake, and I admit the day was wet and it was torrential rain at the time, about 10.30am. The place was very busy and as we went to take a seat we were told by staff we had to join a queue to be seated. Once I found the imaginery queue I was approached by another staff member and when I said we wanted coffee and cake I was told we couldn't sit down unless we wanted lunch. This was 10.30am mind you, and there were lots of empty seats on the deck area. Anyway, we left and found another cafe elsewhere that had good customer service. Not going back.

A tourist trap!
That is all this place is. A makeshift car park welcomes guests and as you approach on foot to the entrance, the place looks promising.
We arrived around 11:30 and breakfast was just winding down. People still lingered at the tables finishing their meals.
We were told there were 3 tables left for lunch did we want to hook in and hang around for 45 mins or so.
Electing not to sit down we ordered 2 sausage rolls and took a seat at an outside table (the sausage rolls were appallingly dry and completely lacking in flavour -$17.15!)
I guess for the pretentious crowd Byron attracts now, this is as close as the BMWs and range rovers carrying the precious little ones will ever get to a real farm..
it’s way over priced, and completely lacking in what should be (or once was) an amazing concept... avoid!

We arrived as a family of 15 about 5.30 and strolled around the farm enjoying the animals, bees and garden.
Then to dinner where we were well looked after, beautiful food and exceptional service.
Quiet live music in the backgroud and even a colourful rooster checking up on us..
The house wine was very ordinary and overpriced

We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at the farm. It was so nice to sit outside under cover in the warmth of the winter sun. We had the mortadella and sourdough to start, which was great. The fish and the vegetarian green curry were both delicious mains. Decent wine menu (most are on tap). We finished with the chocolate cake, which had well balanced flavours. It’s definitely a family friendly location with the option of taking a picnic and sitting out on the lawn. Was nice to wonder the shop and see the animals after lunch. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for lunch, I think some of the magic would be lost at night time.

We had dinner at the farm lst night 18/2 and ordered our meals and they not only bought out our entre but mains at the same time and these people are supposedly professional! Who does that? By the time we got to the mains, any heat was well and truely gone and it really felt like we were being rushed! Probably because we were LGBTQI+ maybe. Not even an apology or anything so we had to rush through the meals and then made to feel like we had to go! All in all at the end of the day, overly priced dinner for substandard service and cold meals. Do yourself a favour and find another venue. It felt fake and unfriendly and unwelcoming. The service was like watching a stage production of a cooking show. We were rushed and felt not too good afterwards and paid a fortune for cold food. Didn’t get the chance to enjoy the food or atmosphere.

We popped for in lunch. The weather was raining and they were full but we only had to wait 10 mins for a table. We would never normally order pork when dining out but the description won us over. I’m please it did. The presentation was a very authenticity rustic. The pork crackle was done to absolute perfection. The beetroot was cooked beautifully and had a soft sweet flavour to it. The rustic salad including beetroot leaves was so tasty. I’m mean it’s just a bunch of leaves right, but dam tasty. The old style roast potatoes in their skin just topped of one of the best meals I have had in a long time. Well done.

As part of a 6 week holiday in Australia, we booked lunch at 3 Blue Ducks based on numerous recommendations. It did not disappoint and in fact, having eaten at many excellent restaurants during our trip, the most memorable and tasty meal was at the restaurant. Yes, it is noisy and a bit chaotic but the food made up for any service/ambience let downs. I'd go again in a minute!

After being on several tours in which all recommended a visit to the farm we finally gave in. This was a pleasant experience with a sunny day and an easy stroll around. The signs placed around the fields are informative and someone who is interested in organic farming, sustainable farming or even just farming/ fascination in this lifestyle will find it interesting. After viewing several families struggling to entertain little ones (as there is no petting zoo or any interaction with the animals) and seeing many prams struggling to stroll along the gravel path i would not recommend this to young families (0-4 in age) as no one seemed to enjoy this other then the parents/ older siblings. a macadamia section allowed for people to gather, crack and eat there own macadamias which was very pleasant and very very cool. The farm had a perfect set up with a restaurant, cafe, flower shop and many more inventive shop ideas. I would recommend this to everyone excluding young families as it is interesting and you can learn a lot from this little gem.

The farm is worth checking out. We dropped in twice for morning tea & afternoon tea, when the crowds are thinner. If you want to go to the restaurant you’ll need to book days in advance, they were all booked out for the week we were in Byron.
The fresh baguettes from the deli with salami & pesto were nice & tasty, & the coffee from the cafe great.
At the flower shop we had some flowers made up for a wedding renewal ceremony, two crowns, two button holes & a bouquet.
We had a wonderful time walking throughout the farm, looking at the pigs, cows, vegetables, flowers, pecan & macadamia trees etc.
We’ll be back for sure!

Hi there,
We're planning to visit the farm on the coming weekend, and have a couple of questions.
Looks like we can still grab a table at ThreeBlueDucks, but as we have a little toddler who's very active, we're also looking into the picnic option.
On their website, it says that outside the restaurant, it is not licensed - does this mean that we cannot drink if we are eating on grass areas?
And are we not allowed to bring any drinks or food to the premises at all?
We're of course planning to mainly purchase food from the cafe and takeaway some dishes from the restaurant. But the food on their menu are quite limited and we were just wondering if it'd be okay or not to also bring some, especially for the kids.
If anyone knows the answers, and/or have any advice on your own picnic experience there, that'd be great! Cheers

There pretty chilled and heaps of toddler at playground, I think just ask and be responsible around the little ones they won't care, enjoy

You only need to book if you want to enjoy breakfast in the restaurant but you can have breakfast in the cafe without reservations. They do delicious pasties quiches and pies, coffees and some ready prepared sandwiches etc. If you want a cooked breakfast at Three Blue Ducks then definitely recommend you make a booking on a weekend.

Hi,
We were wanting to visit again while we are on holidays, however we have our dog with us this time. Do you allow dogs on the property and in the outdoor eating area?
Written July 28, 2015
Yes, dogs seem to be allowed on leads.
