I’ll be planning future trips to ensure I get to this market. Excellent samosas, the muffin men pastries, both sweet and savoury were delicious. The cheese was some of the best i’ve tasted, good chai, fresh tomatoes and vege’s. It was a nice 45 minute walk from Byron, but for a big shop you’d need a car!

Got there 7.30am and the markets were reasonably full. More than 30 stalls, with just about everything. And all local too. Fruit, veggies, nuts, meats, juice, coffee, seafood, cheese, smoked fish, berries, hot samosas!!! Live music. All social distancing maintained. Spent about $100 on macadamia nuts, sugarcane juice, cheese, fresh prawns & fruit. Reasonably priced too. Bring your own bags to pack any purchase. Enjoyed three samosas, hot off the fryer..pork samosa! That’s a first for me. $12 for three. 2 litres of sugarcane juice for $15..yum...500gms of blueberries for $12..picked the previous night. If you are staying in Byron for a week or so, would recommended a visit here on Thursdays to stock up. Spent a hour overall and most enjoyable.

No wonder it is famous, got to chat to farmers and producers of fine artisanal goods. Took back to hostel and cooked up a storm with the astonishing local stuff. Thanks for everything

This is undoubtedly one of the best farmers markets I have ever been to. The people that grew the produce were the ones selling it. There were specialist growers selling wonderful fresh produce at fair prices. This is so different to what I am used to in Sydney. If you are in Byron Bay on a Thursday make sure you are there bright and early.
