Not a whole heap to do at Byron Bay and a lot of back packers but what a great place just to relax and take a swim.

I have been going to Byron for many years and its great, no question, climate, beaches, location. But!!! Byron is faded. The main CBD has a great food and music culture that is unique in Aus. The cafes, pubs and buskers are brilliant, but the main centre is over used, high traffic and council need to get in and clean... More

We love Byron bay, the beautiful beaches the pristine clear waters, lovely atmosphere and delicious restaurants. We go back as often as we can. Try avoid peak holiday times as traffic and crowds can be crazy.

just an expensive hippy coastal town in NSW, some great views and beaches but the center is expensive and full of strange people. Mind you it's way better than Surfers, that's just a hole

While i have not been to Byron for 20yrs plus, i can say it has changed and so has the price expectations. Byron is truly a magical place with beaches, cafes, restaurants and many activities such as surfing, sky diving, bush walking and many festivals all year round. We arrived just after the Aus day weekend in February and this... More

The natural features around Byron Bay are stunning but then so are so many places along this coast. The beaches further north and south are just as good and a lot less hassle. The town trades on its hippy/easy going reputation but in fact it is over priced and stressful. Recent parking charges do not help with ease of movement... More

Gorgeous views. Well looked after. Lots of wildlife and lifelong walks. Locals picnic and drink on there so that's also acceptable.
