About
Byron Hills is situated situated just 3 mins drive into the quaint village of Bangalow and 6-10 mins to Byron’s beaches. Ballina/Byron Airport is a 20 min drive and Coolongatta Airport is a 45 min drive. The property sits on 5 lush acres with views of the surrounding Hinterland and Macadamia farms. The house is well equipped and beautifully furnished with warm inviting interiors. There are 4 good sized bedrooms in total. The Master Suite including an ensuite and outdoor bath with stunning views. Each of the bedrooms open onto gardens or decks with views. There are several outdoor zones to enjoy including an undercover bbq area with seating for 8 people including lounge area. The Tuscan inspired pergola also seating for 8 people includes a traditional pizza oven. This is a beautiful space of an evening as the sun goes down behind the spot lit 100 year old Fig tree. Main Beach Byron Bay
Jun 2021
Visited on Tuesday 22nd June. Not sure why people rave about the main beach at Byron, it's nothing special, Byron has more beautiful beachs to enjoy without the crowds.

Fun for a quick visit but there’s better places to stay longer term
Aug 2020
We moved from Byron 2 years ago to Murwillumbah. Byron just because a place like any other for us and after the big storms severely damaged the coastline, Byron just wasn’t aesthetically pleasing to us any more. We wanted better access to nicer beaches up north and closer to everything else also. I wouldn’t live there again partly because it’s simply overrated for that. Byrons typically got more of a transient population and therefore attracts a lot of fly by nighters, the drug, party scene for that group of people makes Byron enticing but not a great place to raise a family. There’s many prettier, cheaper, better places to live north and south of there so do your research.

What a disappointment!
May 2021
Just returned from Byron Bay, There are so many better places to visit! Grafity and rubbish left on the streets, public toilets/restrooms need knocking down and rebuilding (they might not need to knock them down as they where rotten and could fall down any day!
Drunks at 1pm so god knows what its like in the evening!
A total disappointment! Scruffy, dirty and costly to park at $4 per hour on a Sunday miles away from the centre, all streets you have to pay just to call in a shop!
Wont be back!

Enjoy

I haven't been to Byron Bay for more than 30 years, and yes it has changed a lot. I thoroughly enjoyed my three days visit. You could definitely spend more time here as this tourist town has a lot to offer, from the beach, to walking trails, shopping and an abundance of restaurants.

A tropical wonderland
Mar 2021 • Couples
I love Byron so much. It’s getting quite commercial now and the prices are up there, but I definitely love the vibe and how everything is centrally located , so I recommend getting accomodation near by so you don’t really need to touch the car unless you’re driving to surf spots. I would avoid going during schoolies and school holidays to avoid the chaos .

Wedding Visit
Jan 2021 • Family
What a awesome place to visit and have a wedding. Our daughter and now husband got married in Byron and what a beautiful location to get married. Was a great day and they got married on the beach At Wategos Beach and the reception was at The Beach. We had a lovely couple of weeks there and will be remembered as a great place.

Don't take people in wheel chair to Byron bay.
Feb 2021 • Friends
Just spent 8 flustrating days in Byron with wheelchair. Very disappointed that it was very hard to find disabled parking , shops that could accommodate a wheelchair and especially disabled toilet big enough to accommodate client and carer together.
Most of the disabled parking we found was unsuitable for transferring to wheel chair . because of either gardens in the way or massive potholes and uneven surfaces.
Some but not many stores have room to monuver a chair. But most have steps at entrance so we didn't even try.
And toilets .... Well let's just say they are none that we found that were use friendly.
People seems nice and our accommodation was great at rainforest resort.
Council needs to lift there game ..😞

Such a beautiful place the beaches, so many cafes and restaurants the streets are always busy with people having a great time shopping, going for a swim, eating lunch by tge beach having a drink at one of the many bars. Such a great atmosphere.
Will be back.

Great place even in the rain.

Unfortunately the weather was not amazing during our 5 night stay in Byron. However, there are so many lovely restaurants, it was relatively easy to relax inside over and drink or some food. On the days that the weather was good, the beaches are glorious. The are a few beaches within walking of the town, Wategos beach was our favourite.
In the evenings there is lots of live music in the bars, restaurants and on the streets. We spent a few evenings watching live music on the green.
Byron can be an expensive trip but it is also easy to save money, there are lots of lovely spots with a view to take a picnic or takeaway food to.
We even saw dolphins in the bay on several occasions.

Underwhelmed about Bryon (not bae) bay
Jan 2021 • Friends
I found Bryon to be insanely busy, insane traffic and overall not a good vibe. Was quite the let down after an hour drive. Not mad just disappointed
