Park at Wategos Beach and do it uphill and then return for a swim. Take plenty of refreshments to make it a really enjoyable day.

it is a very scenic walk with many different aspects of scenery to enjoy. The rainforest is lush and shady to walk through and animal encounters in the ocean and on the walk are commonplace

One of my favourite walks of all time and comparable to the Noosa National Park walk with spectacular scenery around every corner inc sweeping ocean views - amazing !

Fantastic view over the coast line and back over Byron Bay. Nice walking path and great to get the heart pumping. Note that parking at the top and on the way to the top is $8 an hour.

We completed a 5.2km walk from the Clarke's Beach carpark to the lighthouse and down through the forest. It was a gorgeous walk. So. Many. Stairs. But well worth it for the spectacular views. Some erosion on the Forest component of the walk made some...More

I can not recommend visiting here in summer months. We had intended to park and walk up to the lighthouse and back but there is only limited parking and despite driving around and all the way to the lighthouse, we could find nowhere to park....More

Couple of hours depending on how many times you stop to take selfies/photos. Take plenty of water if it’s hot. Take the coastal route up to the lighthouse which we think is better than doing it in reverse.
