If you had history of breast cancer and need the therapist to not massage your arm - avoid this place. I’ve never felt so humiliated in my life. I disclosed the condition in the form at checkin and was in the spa for an hour before the treatment enjoying the pool. No one came to me to discuss the disclosure in the form. Once in the treatment room, when the therapist asked what she should know, here I knew she had not reviewed the form. I repeated verbally my condition and I was clear in my instructions to the therapist not to touch the left arm. Not sure there was a communication issue but she decided that she did not want to massage any other part of me and wanted a full medical certificate to get clearance. While I got a light massage - she refused to give me a proper leg massage or back massage - each of those areas has no link to the area she needed to avoid. Since 2018, post my cancer treatment I’ve never had any spa require a medical certificate ever and always had a therapist who was knowledgeable in the issue, and happy to follow my directions to avoid the area. Having seen the reviews of this place and received a personal recommendation from a friend, it was a thoroughly disappointing experience. Even though I got a partial refund, which was appreciated, it has left me not ever wanting to return to this place. Given the young age of the therapist I think she has had no experience with women with past breast cancer. Given October is breast cancer month maybe the spa management should invest in training their staff to better deals with such clients.

Hi I am so sorry you were disappointed and I only wished you had expressed your concerns with me. The information you completed on the tablet is for our computer system and I request our therapists to have have a personal consultation with their client to discuss their needs. Our main concern is for our client's welfare and she was taught not to massage and I have also received advice that we should receive medical clearance. I have discussed this with my other therapists and they also confirmed this. I think there may have been some misunderstanding and she was erring on the side of caution. Your therapist consistently receives amazing feedback and was deeply concerned you were not happy as she takes takes always tries to ensure her client enjoys her treatment. I have taken on board your feedback and have addressed it with my staff. Once again, I am truly sorry and I hope everything is ok with you now and I wish you all the best. Kind regards Kerry

We started our visit with an hour in the garden which was beautiful. The heated plunge pool was just perfect and we loved just having that time before our treatments to relax! My husband had the hot stone massage which is his go-to and loved it. I had the Tropical Lime and Ginger Salt Glow and wow. The whole treatment was amazing. The scrub itself was intense and definitley rougher than what im typically used to but as a scrub veteran I loved it (though, if its your first scrub you may find it a bit too much). My therapist was lovely and made me feel very comfortable. 100% would go back for another treatment! The location of this place is great, its a few streets out of town so its easy to get to but far enough away you dont hear constant cars driving past!

This day spa was exactly what my partner and I needed for our stay at Byron Bay. We got the winter wellness package which was an absolute steal in value. An hour by the plunge pool and sauna prior to our treatments was great there was another group there halfway through though still plenty of room. We did see the local pool lizard which really cemented the outdoor Balinese pool feel. Our massages and facials were amazing and Kerry was great in accommodating for having the experience via the couples room with our package. The girls did a great job at keeping the relaxing atmosphere and talking us through everything. For my partner who isn’t used the massages, he is converted and loved it. We will definitely make this one of our must do’s each time we come up here and have already recommended to our friends and family.

We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed your time with us and that now your partner is a "convert". We have had a new pool built and have received many favourable comments. Our resident lizard is very friendly and comes and goes. We change our specials seasonally so please check our website for special offers. We look forward to welcoming you back. Kind regards Kerry

I don’t normally write bad reviews But today it was a whole day waste of my time, I called yesterday afternoon to book a package for today. They couldn’t confirm my appointment, they said we will call you tomorrow to confirm what time. I mentioned that I was leaving the day after. So I called back again today as soon as they open to check if they can confirm my appointment, they just kept saying someone is going to call you there is definitely some it in at 1 or 2 , I decided to go with them since my friend recommended it, so I waited again, more than 2 hours later I called back to ask what happen. The lady said the person who called before you (I guess the prior day since I called them one day before) came so we are not able to help you since we are fully booked. What they did they just put me on hold waiting for someone to see if they were coming or not, they could’ve just mentioned it since the beginning so I will see other options, instead they just made me wait the whole morning for them. They never called me not even to tell me that I was the one calling the whole time. So now I don’t have time to look for another place since I trusted to call me and confirm my appointment. Really disappointed with the lack of Customer service and thinking is ok to waste someone’s time.
