A dozen great wines to taste with comprehensive explanations by Kate whilst sitting in a character filled warehouse for $10 per head with $5 refund on any purchases.

We had a wonderful afternoon wine tasting at Centennial. Kate was very knowledgeable, attentive and interesting as she took us through the tasting list. She even brought in some alternative wines when we showed interest in some of the grapes.
The location is grand, and well set up, ready for a visit with opening up post Covid .

It was only a brief visit because it was not open due to the nsw lockdown restrictions. We took some photos and lingered around the sight.

A review said, "Easily the best vineyard in the Southern Highlands". Hmm, not so sure about that, or maybe it's a matter of what "best vineyard" means. Lunch was very good. We choose three entrees, a salad and a glass of Pinot Gris and Albarino and shared all. All were very good. But the best? Very large dining room, very large outdoor areas, very large wine tasting room, all likely has huge numbers of people on the weekends. So if you like a big party atmosphere, this may be one of the best. But if you're looking for great wines and great comparative wine tastings, hmm, not at all sure. There are MUCH better wines and wine tasting experiences in the Southern Highlands.

This is a Halliday red 5 Star winery and it lives up to this reputation. We live in the Hunter Valley and understand wineries very well. As a baby boomer couple we've had lots of practice. This tasting experience was very good.
We were told that our party of two did not need to book and my email to the vineyard is still unanswered. I have to say the booking in process was somewhat frenzied.
However, once we started the tasting itself, all that was forgotten. We were lucky enough to be introduced to Kate, the Cellar Door Manager, who conducted our tasting. She was helpful, enthusiastic, wonderfully knowledgeable and quick to come back with the next bottle to taste. Once she realised we had some wine knowledge she became even more helpful with suggestions (they have more than 30 wines to taste and you choose ten)
We ended up buying a six pack to bring back to the Hunter and I'm sure after tasting the first one - an estate Pinot Noir - we won't be disappointed. I may even join the wine club!

We attended a wedding at Centennial Vineyards, What an excellent place. The autumn leaves and vineyard backdrop were a brides dream. The reception was in the big function area. Really well done, with local wines and produce setting the scene.
Lovely spot for a wine tasting also.

This was just a great experience my wife and I had on the weekend at the Centennial vineyard. The tasting was an excellent experience and would highly recommend to people to attend.

Took a chance not knowing anything really about the Southern Highlands or it’s wine. Finished up spending most of the day here. Fantastic wine tasting and lovely food on the terrace. Could not fault it and 15 bottles will give me something to think about until I visit again

Initial impression was very good, greeted by a very friendly lady who took us into the wine tasting. Jeanette served us and went above and beyond to make a great experience for us. She explained everything and gave great suggestions to try. We were really enjoying it until the Manager - I believe Kate - advised us we needed to finish because they needed the table, she then came and snatched the glasses off us and walked off. By this time most people had left it was around 4pm and many empty tables. She was so rude with really poor communication skills it really did spoil it. She was very young and clearly had no customer service training. She didn't know that one of the group is a tour operator deciding upon which vineyard to bring a group of 20 and onwards - it won't be Centennial vineyards. Suppose they don't care and think know one will bother to say anything - well I'm saying this now - not worth the visit go to the other vineyards in the area spend your money elsewhere

Thank you for your feedback. Due to the current government requirements, our guest numbers are limited. Therefore, we have advertised on our website and upon entry at the cellar door that our wine tasting experience lasts for 45 minutes. We take your feedback seriously and have reviewed our records which indicate your wine tasting experience lasted 2.5 hours. The manager on duty did follow our COVID safe procedures in asking you to please leave the tasting area when your wine tasting had concluded. It is unfortunate that our offer to continue your Centennial experience with a glass of wine on our beautiful terrace came across as rude or trying to rush you as that was never our intent. Centennial Vineyards takes the safety of our staff and guests very seriously and has in place rigorous procedures to ensure this. We would also like to be able to accommodate all those guests who wish to visit us in a safe environment without a long wait due to the current COVID-19 restrictions.

A well established winery which is well known in the Southern Highlands. We visited to experience the wine tasting and to purchase some wines.

The tasting room is well run and costs $10pp, with a rebate of $5 upon a purchase. The tasting experience, over 10 selections, is suggested to take 45 minutes.

We liked a few wines for our palate and taste but thought the 2017 Reserve Shiraz Viognier was special.

A good tasting experience of some very nice wines.
