I recently went here with my family for fish and chips one night while camping at Mystery Bay and it was probably the closest town to the campground and it was such an eventfull afternoon, We went to to a fish and chips shop (I donβt remember the name sorry)Then we went to the local gelato store at about 6:00 and the veiw of the wharf and the mountain at the back was beautiful, my neice wanted to go fishing but unfortunately we didnt have a boat. We also went to the park next to the dock and my brother went on the flying fox and he flew of it when it stopped ππ. Overall it was very fun and beautiful, My nephew and neices really enjoyed it so I definitely recommend going here with children aged 12-5!

The signage round here is really informative and respectful of First Australians and of later history. Nice spot for a break.

We chose the wharf precinct for a large group dinner with the knowledge that there is a lift to the second level. Our friend is in a wheelchair. The lift was out of order!!!! Upstairs there are Such fantastic restaurants, and given this is the peak season, we thought this was poor form. The owners of the restaurant were not even informed of its being out of service. Other diners told us that they were aware of other parties having to cancel a booking because their disabled friend could not attend.

Apart from the calamari, the fish etc came straight out of a proceessed bag.
The chips were thick and not cooked enough.
We had a seafood basket and some tiny oysters.
We were not given tartare sauce or lemon. When I asked about the sauce I was told it cost extra, by an extremely rude woman.
So I had to go back and get my purse. Then I stood at the counter for nearly 10 minutes being ignored, to buy the tartare sauce. By the time I got back to the table the food was cold and even more unappetizing.

We went here hoping to buy freshly caught fish for dinner for 14 people, only to discover it all gets sent to Sydney and not much is left for locals or visitors!

Extremely tasteless and though two adults ordered the same fish and chips the size difference between the two dishes was ridiculous.
Even putting salt on did it help never again

We were up early at 7am for an early morning walk and we happened to see a fishermen boat docking with huge tunas ready to be weighed and sold to the wharf. The tuna weighed about 60-80kg which was a great sight to see.
From the docks you can also see stingrays Swimming in the water which was quite odd since it was so shallow.

We had a few coopers pale ale, 2 glasses sauv Blanc and a really well made coffee. The owners were there, whilst theyβve recently sold they were attentive and friendly. Weβd just eaten otherwise we would have had a cheeseplate , what we saw was well presented. Great view over harbour
