We had been looking for this viewing point for a while. Google earth places Horse Head Rock at Camel Rock! From the carpark follow the council signs north along the coast - great walk and after around a Km you will find it.

This attraction was on my list for long time
Finally I have got the chance since I am spending holiday in Wallaga Lake which is next village.Actually this rock belongs to Wallaga Lake most than Bermagui.
But before you will see Horse Head Rock there are more to see like Camel Rock and Women’s head rock .
Very important information-the rock can be seen from top if you take the path from car park BUT there isn’t any trial to lead to the rock from other side ,meaning you must come back the same route.Luckily the route is around 40 min or less easy walk .
Another important info to go to see rock from under around rocks and cliffs is only possible if is low tide and not too windy.
Than other large cliffs formations will be fully exposed for the view and the walk will be easy.
What are magnificent creatures you can see there ,I really admire what Mother Nature create for us humans to enjoy.
This is must explore if close in this areas .
Absolutely stunning!!!

Unique formation views from above not the beach too many photographers hanging around so a walking track along the cliff above offered great views from viewing platforms for an old and doddering fool like me.

Initial signage helpful to set off in direction but ongoing signage led us to rambling along the side of the cliff for a while being unsure which rockformation it was,or if maybe it had eroded into the ocean. Alas found it and was impressed with it and the general scenery, would recommend it to others

Horse Head Rock - a must visit for every landscape photographer. A secluded location along the side of Camel rock beach. One will need to watch the tides before attempting to get there. Make sure you have good shoes and probably a good pair of gloves to support against the rugged rocks.

This very interesting rock formation located close to Camel Rock is shown on Google maps. But unlike Camel Rock it is not shown on official tourist maps and brochures of the area. Nor are there any roadside signs indicating its existence. It can be viewed from the cliff top coastal pathway. From the Camel Rock carpark there is a well worn track (unsigned) that starts from the north edge of the carpark. It eventually hugs the cliff until after about 8-10 minutes walk you reach several viewing points where the foliage has been reduced to allow a good view. I think the same track can be accessed from Murunna Point. The view is well worth the short walk.

To get to the horse head rock you have to clamber over the rocks at the Camel rock end of the beach. Not accessible at high tide and the higher the water the more rock climbing you have to do. When on the next beach look back after passing the rock with the hole in it. Find the exact right location and turn the imagination up to max and there is the horses head. I am told there is also a path over the top from the car park but I didn't see it.
