Too many good things to say. Just a few tips and reminders for newbies. Have climbed this awesome "hill" a few times and continually see people not equipped to hike it. * Take water and a snack. * Wear hiking or at least running shoes....More

As this is listed as one of the best things to do on the island, we had a go. It's pretty nice but there are some things to be aware of. The first part of the trail that takes you to the top is one...More

Loved this trail. Yes, it is long, and it is hard work. We found the markings a little sparse; but we didn't miss the trail ever. We think we got to the end - looking out over N channel and a rather ugly quarry -...More

Decided to do this after two days of rain. The trail was very slippery and quite tough. Wear good boots or trail shoes to do it. It would be nice if there was a map of the area at the trail head. Many people are...More

This was a great rambling hike with our teenagers. The main route to the west and east lookouts takes about 45 minutes but there are many smaller paths to add to the hike. The lookouts are incredible with great views of the island and great...More

Loved the hike through the forest and up the side to the top of the cliffs to the beautiful look out point. There are no barriers so it's a straight drop down! be careful.

The view at the top is so amazing. Of course, getting there is not for the weak. There's a lot of off trail hiking, and I heard there's a cave, which we missed. It's quite strenuous in parts, but well worth the climb.

This is a fairly advanced trail that involves steep rocks and ladders. Please keep children and dogs close because the lookout at the top is beautiful but unforgiving.

Great May - August hiking but excellent in September for the fall colours. We've made this hike many times. Try not to see the abominable windmills now scoring the landscape. Otherwise the view from the top is fabulous. With a moderate level of health and...More

The views are beyond words and breathtaking. It must be done on a clear day. I spent nearly two hours at the top. The name does not do justice to the experience. Get good boots.
