This ferry is effectively part of the SWCP, also joining two great places well worth visiting in their own right - Royal William Yard in Plymouth and Mount Edgcumbe Park

Brilliant men working on the ferry, very friendly and welcoming. Use this service all the time, very punctual and even put on extra trips in busy periods!!

My young son loves the ferry, used it a few times with him now! The staff are always friendly and help to get the pram on and off! Reasonably priced too!

Not suitable for wheel chair users or those with mobility problems. I managed the journey with the help of husband and brother. Steps wet and large difficult to manage as handrails well spaced. You could manage with help and ferryman very strong and helpful. Enjoyed the trip and loved the gardens, grounds and café pasties.

... but totally overbooked: a bit too much "packed" with dogs, adults, children and teens. An easy way to shorten the way. The ferryboat runs every half an hour.

Walking the SWCP we caught the ferry to Mount Edgcombe where we had a cream tea which was cosmic! The ferry was busy and staff friendly.

Get on the ferry at Admiral's Hard and take the trip over to Mount Edgcumbe. You pass the Royal William yard and the local Marina. A short stretch of water but lovely views. £1.50 each way and money well spent. The staff always helpful. You can take your dog and bikes with you to

It was our first time in Plymouth, and we were impressed. One experience was the Cremyll ferry, which was just about to leave. They waited as we ran dow the road. Smiling ferrymen welcomed us on board, and we enjoyed fabulous views of the estuary, boats and buildings as we crossed. We would love to do it again.

Popped over to Cornwall from Plymouth for a stroll and lunch. Great ferry which we have introduced to our son who is at Uni in Plymouth. Hopefully he and his mates will enjoy trips to Cornwall, particularly when the weather improves! Mount Edgcumbe on the other side offers lovely walks with great scenery. Segway and frisbee golf are also available.... More
