Had the day in St Austell went to the brewery for the tour the brewery wasn't very easy to find, our guide Pat was very friendly and she was very knowledgeable about the day to day running of the brewery, thought the £12 entrance price a bit high but saying that the tour was very interesting and i enjoyed the... Personally I enjoyed my time at the brewery, however my Partner was extremely un-impressed. We had to wait quite a while for our tour which wasnt overly exciting compared to others I have been to. It was however, informative and I learnt a lot. The guide was very enthusiastic about the whole thing and was very knowledgeable and happy to... More

Have been around the brewery before so only popped in to purchase some bottled beer. The Hicks Bar I noticed has been considerably improved since my last visit, didn't stay but it looked really nice. Purchased 18 bottles of specialist beer, most of which was on offer. I will certainly visit the Hicks Bar next time I'm in Cornwall.

We did the Brewery Experience tour. From the website it seemed like it would be a virtual tour and no guide but we had a guide show us round and took in a fair bit of the brewery. I think brewery/vineyard tours and similar can really vary in terms of value for money but this one was good value -... More

A very pleasant afternoon. We had an informative tour of the visitors centre and part of the main brewery. We had six very different beers to enjoy. Then into the visitors bar for an enjoyable bar meal washed down with a pint of Tribute. We got a taxi at a reasonable rate from Charlestown which allowed us to enjoy all... More

The visit to St Austell brewery exceeded all expectations for a damp day in Cornwall. After an introductory glass of Toast, a limited edition beer, we were warmly greeted by our guide who introduced us to the background of the brewery, explained the production process then showed us around the brewery. This was topped with a tasting of many different... More
