My husband and I visited the brewery and took the tour on a fairly fine day this week. We were not expecting much, but were pleasantly surprised. The staff were fantastic and very helpful and the tour was excellent and well worth the £12 for entrance. We were given a very informed tour by Anne and then ended with a... More

Myself and my husband had the 'access all areas tour'. It was £25 each and worth every penny. Roger and Nick did the tour. It was really informative. Any questions were answered, whether technical or laymans answers were required. Both chaps really nice. The tour was approximately 2 hours, then it was tasting the ales and then we had 3... More

Went mid afternoon and was expecting a bit of a self tour of a museum kind of thing. Very wrong! We spent 10 mins watching the bottling/packaging line then we were (politely) corralled into a small group by a lovely lady and taken on a walking tour through the brewery, it was so interesting, what this lady didn't know about... We did the £12 experience tour on a Friday and our expectations were blown. Anne led the tour and she was incredibly knowledgable and passionate about the brewery. We were able to sample a number of beers - all delicious and varied, and the tour even included a free pint in their pub at the end. We had planned to... More

We paid for the "Brewery Experience" and then went upstair to the bar/restaurant. Our plan was to go straight through to begin the tour, but one glance at the specials menu and we decided to eat instead. Good range of options on the menu and the usual types of coffee. We avoided any alcohol as we knew you get to... More

We had a great time at the brewery! Our guide, Anne, was so nice and hugely informative. They're currently working on their displays so it's not the full tour yet but going on what we were able to see its going to be amazing when they're done! Absolutely love the fact that there's a family ownership theme going on! everyone... More

We chose to visit on the last day of our holiday and it turned out to be a highlight of our stay. Our guide Nick was highly knowledgeable about the Brewery and the beers. Their new tour and visitor centre is very nice and the range of beers to try excellent. Although we didn't eat in the bar / restaurant... More

After having a great breakfast in Hicks Bar we returned in the afternoon for the brewery tour. Anne our guide was great and it was interesting to find out about the small batch brewery side and the different flavours being tried out. The tasting session at the end of the tour was absolutely wonderful with such a variety of beers... More

I've done a couple of Brewery Tours now, but this has got to be one of the best. We did the 'Brewing Experience', which was not at all what we expected - in a good way! Brilliant Value for money, £12 and you're given two tokens per person, which you use for tasting and for a Pint in the bar... More

After spending a good couple hours deliberating what to do for the day. Me and my siblings settled on a drive from Plymouth to visit St Austell Brewery. I was surprised to learn as much as I did about the brewery process. Roy was an excellent tour guide who encouraged questions to be asked really engaging visitors. It's recommend finding... More
