This little museum is a real treasure, so much to see in a small space and staff very helpful. It is a must to visit even to go inside a cell as it would have been then.

we visited again this year as we enjoyed our visit last year. two very helpful and friendly members of staff were able to show us and tell us all about items which have been added to their collection this year. worth a visit.

St. Austell itself is quite limited in terms of attractions, it is primarily a working high street with all the conveniences for local people. There are a few charity shops, which for magpie like me are interesting, and the usual tea rooms, restaurants etc. As...More

Frankly it appeared to us that there wasn't really much to see in the Centre of the Cornish Town of St. Austell, apart from the usual shops, cafes and restaurants. However on a drizzly August afternoon my Wife and I stumbled across the Town's Museum....More
