Wingz is a lovely place to visit if you are looking for an alternative to the larger commercial attractions. Set in beautiful surroundings the dedicated family team make you very welcome. As well as the birds there are plenty of other small animals to see, a children's play area, lovely well priced cafe and shop and spotless toilet facilities. We... More

This small bird sanctuary is worth a visit as it is wholly reliant on donations. It is disabled friendly and there are plenty of animals to see. It is awkward to get to as it seems to be in the middle of nowhere( it isn't really) but persevere, just remember these cornish hedges have stones behind them so don't drive... More

We booked Wingz to come out for our grandsons 4th birthday party. The children all loved it, they were able to touch and hold the snake, lizard, rabbits, guinea pig, stick insect and other insects. The prairie dog was a real treat and even though they couldn't hold this they could stroke it close up. The owl was a sure... More

This place may only be small but it's still worth a visit. They're a wildlife sanctuary so need all the funds they can get. If you take your time looking round and take your lunch (or buy some of theirs - they're really nice) you'll be there 1.5 to 2 hours, but your entrance fee goes to help run the... More

What are you looking for in a visit? If you are looking for non-stop fast paced entertainment it might not suit you; that's not the reason it's here. It will indeed be a short visit if once you see one thing you move straight on to the next (or if you don't spend time looking - this is not an... More

Fed some Ducks, fed some Meerkats, spoke to a Parrot. Lovely staff and fantastic animals. Lots of little stories about each bird and how they ended up at the sanctuary.

Off the beaten track and only learnt of Wingz by seeing a leaflet. Fair admission price for an average size, lovely to have parrots so talkative and polite by saying hello! Only niggle woud be the walkways were slightly slippery due to rain and covered in feaces and overhanging bushes/trees. Nice clean cafe and polite staff.

If you want your family to learn about birds and animals and see them in what can only be described as the closest thing to their natural habitat then bring your children here. If it's pretty, clean enclosures you want then look else where. The sanctuary allows wild foliage to grow up in the enclosures and aviaries to add to... More

We never knew this place existed until doing a google search on places to go, and being animal lovers keenly set off to explore, The site is easy to get around and the animals are wonderfully cared for by this dedicated couple, we were escorted the first half of the sanctuary by a little duck and then met the cutest... A great little hidden gem, amazing people who know what seems like everything there is to know about the birds and animals they keep and rescue. Amazingly clean "facilities" with a nice little cafe. a little play area for the kids, and decked walk ways. We keep going back! which means alot!
