We called in several nights running for a drink, especially after discovering the Harbour Brewing Company's 'Dry Hop Lager', which I got quite a taste for. Imagine my horror when I learnt that they had sold out of it and weren't expecting a delivery until the weekend! The Kings Arms is exactly how I would imagine a traditional Cornish pub... More

This pub has character and surprise ... its raw appearance allows you to mellow out and enjoy the company you are with and the good ale served, giving that personal atmosphere so many pubs lack. Its a genuine pub, run buy people with a relaxed manner and rye sense of humour. You queue up with fishermen and village folk with... More

This is a good place to go very unassuming but what a pleasant surprize. Very nice people run this pub ,The menu is limited, but the best and do not forget to buy your soda bread.

Went in because I'm on my own and it looked friendly, with only four things on the menu and a sign outside saying 'we're sometimes here and sometimes not'. Only locals I when I went in but still friendly and welcoming and others came in whilst I was there. Food was basic but very good value and tasty, beer was... More

We will need to go back to this place to get a full appreciation as we were unable to lunch there and had to make go with just drinks even though it was nearly empty, as they were fully booked up/committed for their ongoing lobster festival. We liked the ales that we tried, the friendly service and general feel of... More

We were recommended this lovely pub on the back roads (by the model train railway), by the local car park attendant. It is a wonderful friendly place. The young bar girl is exceptionally helpful. 2 pub cats reside here, a ginger one & a black one, Sheer khan & Baghree (Ithink), Kris the co-owner & cook has specials on, food... More

Chilly day in Meva. Harbour front eateries all look "plastic". Kings Arms provides small menu but food punching way above its expected weight. Kedgeree was delicious and incredibly reasonably priced. Pleasant staff. Nice fire. Super venue. Well worth a visit!

Popped in at 2:30pm on a Sunday for the 12-6 roasts, none left. No problem as we were a little late, a little galling when the table next to us casually popped up to the bar and ordered roasts all round. Confused, I assume they knew the owner but certainly won't be going there again.....plus beer was awful! Loads of... More

Hi CherryBlossom69! I am sorry to hear that you felt like this. All our patrons are our friends, that's the whole point of a public house. On the Sunday in question we had a lot of BOOKINGS (this is where people call ahead or send an email to arrange for them to come and dine in our establishment). Whilst at... More

This friendly, traditional one-room pub is a hidden gem on a back street behind the harbour. It features all the pub essentials - log fire, stone floor, real ales and ciders, two sociable pub cats (one ginger and one black), board games, and a good mix of locals and tourists. Landlord Kris produces bar snacks from local produce - we... More
