Great walking location

Great location for walks - beach walks for children, rock pools and you can see the seals too. Often busy as there is a real gem of a cafe too.

A good walk to blow away the cobwebs after our pasty from philps. Lovely view across Carbis Bay to St Ives. Many a time seals are here and it's lovely to sit on the headland watching them. A little bit further on than the Towans so can be a lot quieter. Nice carpark that looks out to sea. Ideal place... More

I have been to Godrevy Head many times and never tire of the lovely view of the bay and the lighthouse. It's stunning on a stormy day and just lovely when the sun is shining - a great place to take your portable barbeque. You regularly see seals and if you are lucky you may see a few dolphins passing... More

Great walk around the headland looking out at the Lighthouse with fantastic views over Hayle and St Ives beaches. Beautiful, sign down on the beach below the cliffs of hundreds of seals lying on the beach and swimming in the sea. 2 car parks here run by National Trust. ..free for members (need to scan your membership card) or pay... If you just fancy a nice relaxing walk away from all the traffic etc this is a good choice amongst the many other walks in the surrounding area.

We visited Godrevy Head today and boy was it popular. Lots of people on the paths and around. I would have liked it all to myself! Especially whilst viewing the seals which really is a fabulous moment. I would love to go back in winter when it is calmer and quiet just the sound of waves and the wind. The... More

What a stunning place to visit! Ample car parking and not too expensive for a day, if you're a National trust member it's free to you! On any given there are beautiful views to be mused over, but perhaps the nicest are on dry and sunny days. Carved steps down to the beaches provide access to the sea and, when... More

Another reviewer has already identified Godrevy Head as "perfect" and I make no apology for borrowing the description because it is so apt. We discovered this spot years ago while walking part of the SW Coastal Path and are drawn back every time we are in Cornwall by the sheer beauty of the coastal scenery. There a couple of simple... What a lovely place to visit in most weathers! When I walked there it was very windy, but provided you keep away from the edge it is invigorating, seeing the waves crash on the mainland and the island where the lighthouse stands. Don't miss the north eastern corner of the headland, where you can look down on the beach and... More

Great walk along the coast to Secret Seal Cove. The highlight is when you spot the seals in the water, where they chase fish around the bays. No sign of dolphins during the week we spent but they are regular visitors around the lighthouse.
