What a wonderful place, such a big beach for early morning walks with the dogs! And if coming with the family during the day a lovely place to spend the day, can imagine it will get crowded in the summer months. Parking is good and at...More

Crantock beach is a stunning, clean and expansive sandy beach with cliffs and sand dunes at the mouth of the River Gannel estuary on the outskirts of Newquay. It's about 10 minutes drive from the town centre. It has a National Trust car park where...More

Beautiful beach to explore especially when the tide is out. We visited last year and came back again. A lot of the landscape has changed since last year with sand and land movements. Really good fun exploring some of the rocks and caves and finding...More

Had a lovely time fossicking by the edge of the Gannel channel. A truly beautiful beach - just a shame about the £3 minimum car park stay, which my brother was outraged about and therefore his complaining slightly tainted our visit.

Highly recommend Crantock beach, my friend and I love it here. We visit at least once a year from Devon and make the most of it. It is the best place for friends to catch up without hustle & bustle of cafe’s or restaurants. It...More

The beach is vast and very picturesque. Ideal for dog walking as all dogs we met were off lead and friendly. We were told (by locals) that it gets very crowded in the summer but great at this time of the year.

Gorgeous sands and dunes. Fabulous circular walk of about 7 miles. Dog friendly. Easy parking or short walk from village!

Crantock is a beautiful beach and lovely sea. The best part here are the many caves. Most of them are flooded at high tide so you get dead fish. Lots of seashells. But we had a shock. As we went into the cave there was...More

Don't believe it is anywhere as far as two miles suggested above; certainly to the old village. Suggest checking on Google map. Certainly done this walk with prams and loads of beach toys on many occasions. As a family, we... More
