Suitable for some!
Oct 2021 • Couples
The young staff were excellent.
We had a lovely meal.
However, when we go for a Sunday meal we do like to be able to make conversation, the 4 large screens showing football in the main bar and the one in the restaurant area aren’t for us. Come to that, only half a dozen people in the place were occasionally glancing towards them either!
We’ve lived in the area for over 30 years and it’s a great pub on a rugby day and if you’ve a young family, the playground allows the children to run in and out of the restaurant area.
Sadly it no longer caters for those who don’t want the above.

Good Covid regulations. Service was excellent from all team members. Was my first beer since lockdown and I enjoyed myself to the max.

Bearcat Comedy Club at Turks Head
Sep 2020 • Couples
To quote Al Murray: “one of THE best comedy clubs in the world”. There’s a reason the big names keep coming back to perform here. It’s intimate, relaxed and feels like you are part of a secret club.
When Harry Hill, Tim Vine or Al Murray turn up at short notice the excitement reaches fever-pitch. But they also give stage time to new acts “have a go’s”.
All makes for a wild ride and a perfect Saturday night out.
Oh and the pub is great for for food before hand.

First time and very impressed

Lunch here with family. Really good selection for either a small plate or main on the menu. Very friendly staff. Nice big tables to seat more than six. Lovely pub. So bright and welcoming. Parking on road wasn't too bad - parking fee was reasonable.

Post Varsity Match
Dec 2019 • Business
Thursday 12 December after the annual Varsity Match at Twickenham. 10 minutes' walk in the cold rain was made worth it. The buffet food that our hosts had pre-ordered was very tasty - mini burgers, excellent sausages with dips, mini fish in batter with tartar sauce, as well as other options that I did not try. Lots of it too.

Nice red wine and everyone seemed to enjoy their drinks, which were plentiful.

Good buzz to the place being a major post rugby venue.

Booked a table. Didn’t eat. Just left
Nov 2019 • Friends
Booked a table to of 4 to eat for 6pm. Arrived early, and at 5:30 asked if we would be able to sit at the table clearly marked with our name on it that was ready and empty. Was told we needed to wait for 5 minutes. So we stood there and waited. For 5 minutes, whilst nothing happened to be then seated at the exact table we asked to sit at. We were sat by a door. That guests repeatedly opened to come into the pub and left the door open. We asked to move. Was told they were fully booked and couldn’t move. Decided not to eat here, finished our drinks and left. Never to return again. Even when speaking to one of the managers they didn’t understand why they were taking bookings with the door issue.

a lovely place to meet friends
Oct 2019
The area is very up-market and even the look of The Turks Head from the outside is so welcoming. There's a very lively atmosphere inside and in the pub gardens. And, oh so important, space to have a more private catch-up with friends. I shall come again!

Pre-match lunch for 6
Aug 2019 • Business
Well-organised and delicious lunch before the England v Ireland match (what a game that was!) at Twickenham. I had smoked salmon, beef and crumble, all washed down with an excellent Malbec. Very efficient service in a packed pub. Obviously vital to book on match days but highly recommended

Fantastic bowl of chips and thoroughly enjoyed several pints of London Pride.
Head clear as a bell in morning!

Locals assured me rest of menu was very good.

Great show...9 comedians including Jason Manford and Omid Djalili. Fantastic!
