A must see in Bridlington
Sep 2021
A more traditional look at Bridlington, the old town is well worth a visit. Plenty of old traditional / local shops, pubs and some local history too. Head over the road for a visit to the Old Priory is worth a visit too.

Fascinating part of Bridlington. Amazing architecture. Step back in time. Some great antique shops. Some buildings in need of some TLC.

Lovely quirky part of town
Jul 2021
A lovely old part of the town well worth a visit, some interesting different little independent local businesses, great coffee shops and quirky little places. If you're looking for a unique gift there are some nice little Antique shops. There are also some great pubs down this end of the town. Just avoid Mondays because lots of the shops are closed.

Very nice walk around the old town. Very historic

We enjoyed walking around the historic old town . Unfortunately we went on a Monday and nearly everything was closed. We'd go back on another day when it is open.

Old town

Firstly this review would be 5 if more places accepted card payments. The town is great, nice relaxing environment. The priory is stunning and there are even places for free parking. Plenty of independent little quirky shops. Locals are friendly and helpful. Would definitely visit again.

Waste of time

Run down, mostly closed or even semi derelict. Nothing of interest. May have been quaint once but really not worth your time.

Lovely old buildings made with hand made bricks and small windows. Little nick nack shops selling anything from new age glastonbury to antiques. Peppered with little shops selling groceries. We had. Our trusty dog with us so as welcome as she was in most shops we window shopped. We had a lovely pot of tea in the Georgian tea room that had antiques above.
We walked the short distance to the priory church and then caught a bus back to Bridlington as we had walked there.
Not too touristy, the inns looked nice but we skipped them given time of day.

Little stroll
Jul 2021
Nice little street to walk around if you are in Brid. Has a few little cute shops to visit. Note the majority of shops when we came the second time were closed. Can see how this area was the perfect place for the Dads army film

We wanted to take a stroll to the old town of Bridlington so we followed the brown signs to get there which is straight forward from the beach front. I'm not going to lie it is a long walk if you are on foot but it was a lovely sunny day so why not. When we got there felt a little disappointed as nothing was really open and most of the shops are closed down which is a real shame. On the other hand some beautiful buildings and the shops that are open are quirky. Still worth a look around and i believe it was were the new Dads army was filmed because the street hasn't really changed since the 40's when the war was on and you can see why they picked this film location.
