Pot House Hamlet is a quaint little place with several businesses based there - garden centre, clothing shop, pet shop, coffee shop, farm shop etc. Staff were very helpful and friendly and took time to advise on items - especially in the pet shop. My children also enjoyed petting the various goats that were there [Well cared for and living... More

I'd highly recommend the pork pies and quiches from the farm shop, the Animal feeds shop is great too for the fur babies and the cafe is also good for a breakfast treat.

The animals are a great addition to the place. We have been coming for years and seen the place transform to become such a brilliant hidden gem. The alpacas are super friendly and there is an honesty box you can put 50p in which is a great way to get food. The donkeys were really funny braying and made us... More

One of my favourite coffee places, I have yet to visit for lunch. Their scones and cakes are delicious and generous, the split level is a bit difficult but there are a few tables on the lowerlevel for wheelchair or less mobile folks. The shops are worth a look around, I hope it goes from strength to strength.

I have just looked on here to leave a review about how nice my afternoon was here and seen the below review stating the animals are miss-treated. I am appalled by the below reviewer as that could not be further from the truth, my elderly mother often goes to PHH to walk her dog as she feels safe there. Yesterday... More

We visited this as we planned on having food in the café the having a nosey around. We pulled up in the car park and couldn't believe the state the animals are kept in, I'm not a huge animal lover and usually enjoy farms/zoo type things but this was disgusting. I've never seen a group of animals look so badly... More

We have ben a few times recently, the food is consistent and good, staff excellent friendly and attentive. Not the cheapest place around but the surroundings are nice and the ducks and goats are fun to watch. It is very much a meeting place for lunch, if lot of babies are not your scene then maybe best to avoid!

Just been out for lunch with a friend & had a lovely time again at the potting shed. We both had the chicken salad & it was delicious, highly recommended. The atmosphere was lovely again & we managed to get a window seat by the stream so we could watch the ducks & pet goats. The staff are very good... More

Years ago this used to be called Horsefields Garden Centre, it's moved a long way since then. The name Pot House comes from the fact that it's build on a row of old miners cottages called Pot Houses, long since gone now. On the other side of the stream is the track of the old waggonway, where horse drawn waggons... More
