Can’t recommend this place enough. The kids loved seeing, petting and feeding the animals. They even got the chance to hold some of the smaller ones. Although the indoor play area was closed due to COVID restrictions, the outdoor playground is huge and they both loved it. Well worth the money as you can literally spend all day there. There’s usually an ice cream van on site and there’s plenty of picnic tables to sit down and eat with the kids. Fantastic day out.

Absolutely appalled at the aggression of staff on this site. Got lost while out walking and ended up using the river to guide us home which led us to the farm. We immediately made ourselves known to a member of staff who helpfully offered to guide us out. Crisis averted. Until another staff member saw us and immediately became extremely aggressive towards us, kicking off calling us every name under the sun just because of a simple mistake (bearing in mind there wasn't a single 'private land' sign and we had assumed we were still in reddish vale country park). We made our way to the exit before 'hard lad number 2' presented himself asking me to "try it" while squaring up inches from me. I had no other intention than getting off the farm. So after a pretty embarrassing display by the comedy duo on the farm (proud day for you both), I can safely say we will be strongly advising everyone to stay away.

This review fails to mention that to get to the farm these grown men had to come across a private golf course, climb over a barbed wire stock fence, walk through a field with livestock in then climb over three more padlocked gates. After reading this review I realise I also need Private Land Signage because the four obstacles and livestock you have to negotiate are not enough. My only worry then is that people who are that stupid to ignore these might not be able to read the signs. I then asked why, after cutting across a golf course and encountering a barbed wire fence you did not retrace your footsteps. The answer I received was"whats your problem". Obviously it is a problem and I informed them of this fact. One of the two did not like being told and proceeded to get quite angry. A colleague then arrived to assist me and they were escorted off site and told not to trespass again

We pre-booked tickets online, seem to get booked up quickly but as it was a rainy day we managed to get tickets. You buy either a morning session or afternoon. Online it mentioned bringing proof of age for our son as he is under 2 years which I completely forgot about and we weren’t asked for in the end. You can buy a little bucket of carrots to feed most of the animals for £1. You do need a mask for enclosed areas. Staff were lovely, going out of their way to speak to children about the animals and also bringing different animals out to show them. They have a brilliant play area, sand pit, tractors to ride on. There’s a picnic area under cover, lots of hand washing stations too. Our son loved it, a great morning out even in the rain.
