Amazing Placr for Retro and Modern Entertainment
Such an amazing place to go!. We.met some friends here and booked tickets for 2 days to explore the 4 floors of.fun on offer. First impressions from outside were a bit mixed as it doesn't look like anything special with little to no advertising its presence, but once you walk in those unassuming doors... wow!! The floors are split into different themes from retro to modern, Japanese rhythm games to pinball tables and is far bigger than you'd expect. We took time to just look around on the first day and spent the second intensively gaming. Of special note.is the top floor, full of original arcade machines from Defender to Mortal Kombat, Centipede to Street Fighter Alpha. It was the biggest flood with the most machines and, although busy, there was always a machine or 5 available to play. The 3rd floor was pretty amazing with rhythm games and a separate room full of AstroCity machines and stools to sit on. In the main room were plenty of pinball tables and a Twitch area with PC's ready setup. Second floor held more modern machines including a very large Mission Impossible 5 setup which you stand at and play. Further in was a load of consoles including an Xbox ring and leather sofas for playing. There were a few Carnival Fair style ticket machines here too, all set to free play just for entertainment value Bottom floor has a mix of games but included a Pac Man Battle Royal alongside an old 4 player Warlords cocktail table. A couple of modern pinball machines and some fairground games rounded this off nicely. Everything is free to play and SIA doormen are on hand to assist with any trouble so feel confident in being safe. The licensed bars on each floor and the cafe at the top rounded this off perfectly and made this the best weekend holiday I've had in years

Good for adults and kids alike!
To the point, we like it here, we like it here a lot. The kids like it, the adults like it and for the price of a family ticket, its good very good value. They have some surprising good set ups, ie, big screen TVs for FIFA, Mario Kart etc. They have a "ring of XBox" set up for kids who cannot get enough Roblox/Minecraft at home, they have retro games for the adults on the top floor, eg, button smashers! They have some gems of a machines hiding across all the floors and I find myself getting addicted to some random machine that brings back floods of memories from yesteryear. Parking can be a bit of a nightmare as it is quite limited, it is a bit of luck if someone is leaving as you get there. We have been here several times before. In the summer and when its busy, it can get uncomfortably stuffy inside, particularly on the 4th floor. Sad as it sounds, you need to be dressed for it! There were a few rowdy kids around on our visit, but it is half term. They do have security going round, so they do have an eye on things. All in all a good half day trip for us

Fantastic day out with the kids
Absolutely loved our visit to Bury Arcade Club today. It was our friends sons birthday and what a great day it was. Ryan in particular was a pleasure to talk to and very friendly. The entry price was reasonable and the food was very nice and not expensive. We could sit in the cafe area and let the kids go play on the games with no worries. Would absolutely recommend.

Greg for couples, families, friends, anyone!
Absolutely great time here! We went for my birthday early this year, and even though it was a Saturday (book weekends in advance as it’s gets full!) we still managed to play with everything we wanted to play, multiple times. Food prices are really reasonable, the wait being a little longer as it was a busy day, so that’s understandable. Can’t wait to get back soon when I have the chance!

    80s Arcade review
Everything you want. But so much more Cant recommend enough. We spent 300 pounds with travel lodge( 1.8miles away) and drive from milton keynes ( friend came from littlehampton) so a lot of driving to manchester. It really must be best arcade in europe without doubt. Im 52 so i remember all the 80s games. It teally delivers. Old & new. And also has new machines.

    Excellent arcade paradise
I’ve been several times and it has always been great. Went again over Christmas period and decided it’s time to leave a 5-star review. The choice of games is huge. If like me you were a kid of the late 80s and early 90s you will love it. Practically every game you could name is available. But there’s far more than that. Pinball, Basketball ball games, pool tables, Modern releases, consoles and an assortment of Japanese oddities offer something for everyone. It wasn’t that busy yesterday (Friday 29th) compared to how it can be. As the earlier review mentioned , there was a wait for the food but at the end of the day it’s not a restaurant. The only recommendation I’d have is during school holidays I’d open an extra day (Wednesday) to take the ease off the number of families who attend during those weeks. But if you’re going purely to experience arcade games, both old and new, it’s excellent.

Amazing day out. 5 hours flew by
More games than you can imagine, we stayed here 5 hours and could have easily stayed longer. The food was really nice and very cheap. The toilets were clean and all the games were included in the price on entry. This was such a good day out, we travelled almost 3 hours to get there and would happily do it again.

Visited here as a family on Sunday with 2 kids, aged 6 and 8. It's easy to find and parking is round the back. Plenty of parking and entrance is also handily on this side too. There are 4 floors packed with various types and ages of arcade machines, modern games consoles and pinball machines. You really can spend all day here. We had a great time and I was worried it may be too busy but we weren't waiting around too long for a go on a machine. It did get really busy at 1-3pm and I would urge the owners not to spoil this place by letting too many walk in extras in once capacity is filled. My only other criticism is the cafe, it's difficult to get a table at peak times but I appreciate they don't have the capacity to expand this. Prices are very fair. We actually nipped out to KFC 5mins walk down the road. All in all a great day and the kids were gutted to leave. We will be back again.

    Only negative
Good food, drinks and games. Only negative is being told “no drinks on machines”, yet no tables to accommodate people drinking. Dont really fancy having my drink on the floor all night :) Please invest in tables if you are going to put this rule in place. Thankyou

arcade club Blackpool part 2 BUDGET FRIENDLY option take a picnic to eat outside you can exit and return anytime
Forgot to say yesterday. You cannot take your own food or drinks into the venues. However once you have paid the entrance fee you can exit whenever you want and return by showing staff your wrist band. Perfect if you want to know exactly how much your day out will cost as you can take a picnic! Possibly combine an arcade visit with a trip to the beach with your picnic!! Perfect if you need or want to budget your day out. If you decide to eat in the arcade the food is very reasonably priced. If you can please support the venue by eating at the arcade. Do Check before you travel as opening times can vary but from what I can tell they are open Thursday / Friday and all weekend. Do check yourself though, please

Everyone praises Arcade Club, but it seems to me a passing fad with people currently fawning over the retro machines. Maybe I just exhausted my enjoyment with those games whilst playing emulators decades ago and for the price of entry at £16.00 when you just want access to the modern games or PC's it's not for me. They should organise a system like gaming cafe's where you can pay a lesser price or hourly rate for say wanting to visit and play for just an hour. I don't want to feel like I have to hang around for 3-4 hours just to get my money's worth.

Hi, thank you for your review I'd like to respond if I may :) "Arcade Club" is an Arcade (The biggest in Europe and one of the best in the world) we are not "PC Club" if you want to play solely PC games then please visit Belong or a similar PC lounge venue where you can pay by the hour and be secure in the knowledge that everyone one else visiting "Arcade Club" is mostly playing "Arcade Games". The PC's are provided (as is the VR) so people can experience something different if they want to... Andy Palmer

This would have been so much better if it wasn’t so utterly overbooked! Fair, it was a Saturday night but the place was absolutely crawling with children who would just step right in front of you - and their parents didn’t give a damn whether you were queuing for something, walking towards them as they stood in the middle of a corridor. I even had one woman push in front of me just to go down the stairs.

There are quite a cool variety of games (hoops, skee-ball, pinball) but a lot of them are retro so I’d still recommend Arcains in Liverpool for a better experience.

As for the pinball machines, they really are a must do. A few were missing their balls which was a shame but there’s such a cool collection!

A highlight of our experience was seeing this guy on the Dance Dance Revolution machines who I feel like had to be at least a UK champion! He was so fast!! Incredible stuff.

Absolute bargain at £40 for a family of 4 my husband and two biys 11 and 12 loved it, really friendly helpful staff, they do bag search on entry if you have a back pack as soon as I explained my bag and the boys bum bags were to carry their diabetic supplies they were more than happy to let them go in with us.
We had food 2 pizzas and 2 burgers which were amazing and all for £20. Will 100% be back.

We went to Bury Arcade Club on a family ticket which saved a little. This was during the school Summer holiday period so we decided to arrive before noon yet it was already quite busy. It got noticeably busier as the afternoon went on and some of the games required waiting time. A small number of the games sadly did not work as they should but overall it was a good afternoon. We had a 10yr old boy in our group and he was over-excited throughout, bouncing from one game to the next. The food in the cafe is basic but reasonably priced, don't expect anything more than fast food and you won't be disappointed. There's adequate parking for all but the very busiest of days and this is a great rainy day activity for kids that won't break the bank.

Excellent afternoon and evening out with a group of late 30s, early 40s lads. Every arcade machine you can think of, a trip back down memory lane. Spent most of the day near the clay pigeon machine and the Nanci quick draw, really addictive. Credit to the bar selection, Brewdog Punk IPA and Lost Lager on draught, the owner is clearly on the ball! Well worth the 16 quid entry fee, will be back definately.

This place is fantastic!
It was our first time here and we were blown away. Three floors of absolute great games, it really took my husband and I back to when we were growing up. Our kids totally loved it and enjoyed every minute and instantly asked "when can we go back?".
The staff were friendly and helpful. The food, snacks and drinks are very reasonably priced as is the entrance fee seeing that all games are then free to play and you can stay for however long you want.
You have to try this place, you wont be disappointed.

Been here a couple of times now and love all of the games. The food is really good value. It’s not the cleanest and a fair few games are looking a bit tired with some broken.
Unfortunately on my last visit (7/10/23) the guy on the front desk was really rude. My partner was trying to pay on arrival and having issues so I tried to help. The guy lost his rag and took my partner’s card out of his hand to tap it himself. My partner said “I was just listening to my girlfriend” and the guy’s response was “well you shouldn’t listen to women.” I thought it was a (bad) joke but he was completely serious and it’s really put me off going again, it’s not acceptable to talk to people like that.

We have been to this Arcade a few years ago so I kinda knew what to expect.
The positives :
Plenty for everyone to play for all different ages. Comfy seating areas.
I personally didn't eat but, 2 out of our party did. Both said it was nice food and reasonable priced. Also, they give you a disc that will alert you when your food is ready. So no need to queue & wait etc..
Toilet facility adequate. Nice touch with the deoderants in the loos.

The negatives:
Now this is a BIGGY!!!!
We called in advance as a large family booking. At the time if called we enquired about disabled access as one of our party has walking difficulties. We were assured access was fine. Now, yes, the Arcade does have lift access BUT.... BUT!! The lifts are extremely outdated slide shutter doors and need to be worked by staff. So, my sister who is on a disabled scooted had to ask staff if she wanted to move between floors. Although the staff were generally accommodating, it doesn't stop the fact that it made her feel awkward and stopped her moving around freely.
At one point, she accidentally asked the staff to take her to the wrong floor than what we were on. She felt too awkward to ask again so stayed on that floor on her own for an hour. As I say, this really should be looked into or warn people that they'll have to rely on asking Staff everytime they want to move floors.

This is our second visit to the Arcade club, and once again we spent two evenings here.

They have added another floor since our last visit and we had great fun on the Japanese imports, one drumming game and one with racing pigs!

We also spent a long time on the many pinball machines before moving to the top floor and playing many of the retro games.

The weather was awful and we got a taxi back to our hotel both evenings - at £2.50ish - why wouldn't you?

I felt compelled to write this review because the Arcade Club exceeded all my expectations and I wanted to say just how friendly and brilliant all the staff were.

We drove for several hours to get here after seeing reviews online and it was totally worth it! Every level is jam packed with games and there really is a game for everyone.

The added bonus of being able to purchase food and drink means you can stay here all night. We arrived just before 6pm and left around 10.30pm and could've stayed longer had we not needed to get somewhere.

I paid £5 for a pizza and it was one of the best pizzas I've ever had!

I can't recommend this place enough for a fun, nostalgic night out. I wish we lived closer!
