As markets go, this was okay. The fruit and veg stalls, together with the meat and fish section, looked stunning but so do lots of markets in the UK. All the other goods were impressive, as was the size of the market, which included an...More

Sheepskin coats for women (7 Replies)
Is there a place in or around Manchester that sells sheepskin coats? Years ago plenty of places sold them, even a stall on Bury Market. However, in recent years, these places have closed. We'll have a car, so transport's no problem. Thanks for any advice.

Sheepskin coats are not really popular in here anymore but you may get fixed up at Lakeland on St Annes Square. http://www.lakelandleather.co.uk/lakeland_leather/editorial/d/find+store/artid/1995/#scrollbottom

How far Bury Cemetery from town centre? (2 Replies)
I want to visit Bury Cemetery to find graves of great, great grandparents. I have paperwork but the office only works in the week to help you find the graves. I only have access to a car at weekend but a local coach firm are doing a day trip to Bury market from my town. How far is the cemetery from town centre? is it walkable, is there a bus or best to taxi as time not on my side as I will have coach to get back.

Its about a mile I reckon. Buses straight down Manchester Rd and get off at St Pauls Rd.
