Was worried that it was going to be quite a steep walk up there but it was ok (we went up the path along moor road) and came down following the path down the other side. There is not much at the top - just the tower! so take a picnic up or a drink at least if it is... More

Such a nice place to walk with family and friends it's a short challenging walk but could do with a cafe at the top of some sorts so you can grab a cuppa at the top and look at the view!

One of my favourite places to walk to and explore the surrounding hills, Peel Tower on the top Holcombe Hill is a huge favourite for young and old, dog walkers, riders, cyclists and more - yet there's enough space for everyone. Long may the tower be kept open as an attraction and base for charities to hold their events.

Peel Tower in Holcombe village is well worth a visit , if you don't like heights then just walk up the hill to the Tower and admire the scenery, on a clear day you can see the Peak district hills and even Jodrell back on the Cheshire plains, but if you've no problem with heights then get up the tower,... A good climb to the top, with a few different routes. Some steeper than others. Spectacular views of Manchester in the distance. Nice on a summers day, take water if hot weather. Some days the peel Tower is open to climb also.

Lovely walk over the hill. Cold and brisk walk soon warmed us up. Lots of walkers and cyclists and runners.

Climbed this one a few times. Take a picknic, sit and admire the views, its a breath of fresh air and the climb does your legs a world of good. Better on a sunny day with clear skyes

A good walk with great views. Makes that hill worth it! You may have to stop a few times on the way up like me, but at the top you can catch your breath and see for miles.

It takes quite a hike to get to the base of the tower. Provided that the weather is clear you are guarenteed great views across to Manchester and beyond. Good place to go just for the exercise value alone.
