Took my daughter to collect a pizza from a stall that was outside the pub. Whilst waiting for our food a member of staff thought it would be acceptable to come barging over get a inch away from my face screaming at me saying under 18s aren't allowed in the pub, granted that's fine. However we wasn't INSIDE the pub, we wasn't there for the pub, we was there collecting pizzas from a friend of mine. Not only did this staff member get verbally abusive and scream in my face he then went on to grabbing my child's pizzas and attempting to throw them!! My child is 4 years old with additional needs she wasn't causing any trouble she was merely dancing to the outdoor band whilst waiting for her food!! So not only did they upset my child they then thought it was acceptable to get another member of staff to come over and try defend the workers behaviour despite seeing how upset my child was! Disgrace of a place. Once again we wasn't there for your pub we was there for the food stand! Despite this the locals was so lovely ensuring me and my child was ok and it took for a friend to step in because of how aggressive the staff member was. Apparently we haven't been the first and by the sounds of it won't be the last! Pointless putting up no under 18s post after what happened when nobody going for pizzas was even there for your pub!

Flat soft drinks that had no flavour. Rude staff and told to leave as soon as we sat to drink our drinks.

Whoever the gentleman was who took our drinks has no customer service skills

Shame that this was recommended and we won't return

The good points - The range of drinks is wonderful. The pub is well decorated and the canalside location would be lovely in summer. With 6 beers on tap, it has everything to be a fantastic pub.

The bad - The owner was ruder than I can describe. Imagine Basil Fawlty at his worst, without the humour. He doesn't greet his customers. He cleaned out table and sprayed cleaning fluid near our pints. When we complained he ignored us. Then at 10 oclock on the dot, he threw everyone out, including a couple who has just bought a bottle of wine. I have visited 2-3 times and he keeps getting worse. He seems to hate humanity and I can only suggests he goes a finds a lighthouse to run. Someone where he wont have pesky customers ruining his day!

Infuriating.

Visited The Weavers this afternoon. Had to take back a bad pint of Hobson's Town Crier after the footy.. Took it back and was told if the next one was not alright I was on my own! Guess what..... the replacement pint of Three Tuns was equally undrinkable. Such a shame because the pub is really nice and quirky. But for a real ale pub to sell not one but two pints and they are both off is really bad. I shan't be back unless the beer quality improves.

We live close to The Weavers and have been before when it first opened. My wife and I went this Monday and did not experience the friendliness when we first visited. Yes the location is nice and the beers/ciders are good but please could we have a smile and friendliness from the person serving. (It would have been nice to be told by the bar person where the knives/forks/condiments etc were to save unnecessary trips back to the bar once food was served.) The bar person sets the tone and to be honest I felt we were an imposition. The pork pie was good and plentiful and my wife liked the 'slab' (not grated) cheese in the bap; however the bap itself was under whelming. We will return but please take the slice of lemon away from the bar person.

Been here around 6 times now and does not get any better with the bad attitude of the bar person /owner he needs to loose his hatred of polite paying customers who give him is livelihood and crack open a big shoulder to shoulder smile with a lot of fiery warmth and change peoples perception of this could be a goldmine pub.

Good selection of beers and cider good place for a pint out side not very good condition inside poorly furnished . Likely to close early if there is few customers and start to clear up while you are still supping up.
