Lovely little family venue
Nov 2021 • Family
Really lovely venue! Private parking right outside. Friendly and welcoming staff.
£27 for a family of three for 2 games in a Friday night - I think that’s very reasonable.
Drinks and food not overpriced at all. Nice little arcade for the children after.
Remaking nice find on route to Liverpool. Wish it was lighter and less windy so we could see the lovely outdoors too on the prom.

Will revisit when in the area next

Wandered around New Brighton and dropped into Riverside Bowl and what a nice visit.
We never went bowling, we just went in for beers which were served in excellent condition being iced cold and sparkling, it was just so good being out and about again and being allowed to travel around a bit ,as much as I love my home city of Liverpool its cool to be able to jump the train and travel again ,ok, it's only a short journey but it's something different and I really enjoyed my visit to Riverside Bowl ,nice to visit somewhere with a bit of a vibe ,we really enjoyed our beers in here before we moved on and as on every other visit to here we had a great time.

Couldn’t wait to get out
May 2021 • Business
Place packed no social distancing virtually no one wearing a face covering. You are bowling 50cm from the next table and sharing the same balls. Was asked why we weren’t wearing bowling shoes. Seriously that should be the least of your worries given the current situation. No ventilation

Great fun
Oct 2020 • Family
Had two games here on Sunday, with the family. Great fun and there’s a table service if you need anything but there’s a few silly little rules like one ball per person etc and everyone must stay seated, if your having a little competition then kids will jump up to celebrate if their dad gets a strike etc. Can’t fault the staff they were helpful and professional considering the rules imposed on them

Visited on a Monday. £10pp for 3 games and a soft drink. Very quiet in there, plenty of measures in place, just a shame not many people visiting! Staff friendly, easy to book. Would recommend!

This was a bar my twin brother Stephen and I visited on our recent trip to New Brighton, a bar we really enjoyed chilling out in.
The bar looks nice, its big ,there's a bowling alley complex here and pool tables and an arcade ,nice decor and furnishings including a superb looking serving bar and plenty of seating options spread throughout this bar, all in all not a bad bar indeed.
We were here on a Saturday afternoon, greeted warmly by a very pleasant member of the staff, we gave our details of name and phone number to assist with the governments track and trace system and then sanitised our hands, we got a beer each ,these were served in excellent condition being iced cold and sparkling and we just kicked back and took in the great bar we were in.
My beer eas excellent, light, hoppy and freezing cold, on a hot afternoon it was just what we needed 🍻.
We both really enjoyed our beers in here and although our visit was only fleeting for a first time visit to here we had a great time.
This bar is easy to locate along the promenade and housed in the Riverside Bowling complex.
Opening hours are;
Monday to Sunday, Midday till 10pm.
A great bar,one I highly recommend you visit if you're in the area.

Riverside Bowl&LaserQuest is Located On Kings Parade And Is A Bowling/Laser And Child And Adult Gaming Centre With A Bar That Offers A Good Food And Drinks Menu At Very Affordable Prices. This Is A Place I Don't Normally Visit As I Mostly Have Cask Ales'But As We Have Not Been In Here We Went In Here For A Quick Beer.A Large Bar With A Fairly Plain Interior With A Bowling Alley Area Which Wasn't In Use And A Pool Room Which Was In Use And An Arcade At The Exit. After We Gave Our Details For The Track And Trace We Ordered A Glass Each Of Carling Brewery Lager Well Served And Priced.I Can't Add Much To This Review As There Isn't Much To Add As The Laser And Bowling Areas Were Shut And There Were Only A Few In Here. Its Not A Bad Place Its Just That I Can Not Comment On This Bar And Arcade Which Was Mostly Shut. When We Visit Next Time Hopefully Everywhere Will Be Up And Running And I Can Review This Venue Better.Very Easy To Find From Southport Train Station Take A Walk Down Atherton Street And Then A Right Turn On Kings Parade.(This Is My First Review Of The Riverside Bowl&LaserQuest).
Opening Hours.
Monday-Sunday-12.00-20.00.
Hours May Differ From Above.

Games ok, just don’t eat!!
Feb 2020 • Family
Took 5 kids bowling/laser for a Birthday treat, was all ok, got a lane quickly, it was busy as it was half term, we were going to eat until I witnessed the server dropping a plate of food on to the floor, he just picked up all the food from the floor and put it back on the plate and served it to someone on a lane!!! No thanks!!!

Great for bowling, not for food
Feb 2020 • Family
We (mum dad and daughter) visited Riverside bowling on Friday the 7/2/20 in the evening. It was very busy as we arrived and at first we were told we had to wait around 30 mins for a lane, but then quickly the staff member found one becoming available in the next 5 minutes which was a relief. We went to the bar and ordered some drinks and also picked a pizza & chips deal from the menu with some garlic cheese bread. The food was brought to our lane within 10 minutes which was good service but upon seeing what pizza and chips we got for £12 and the garlic bread for £3.50 I would not recommend anyone eating here unless you have left yourself no other option really. The pizza was the quality of a £2 frozen pizza from a supermarket at best and nearly all of the chips had bad bits that needed removing. The garlic bread and cheese was tasty but there was only 4 average size pieces which I thought was a little small. I’m not sure if the food from the bar is from a different kitchen or it comes from the general cafe part of the building but the when looking at the menu at the bar it looks very professional and quality, yet the food was anything but that. The atmosphere in the bowling alley is always good and the music is entertaining for all ages, and they seemed to have invested some money into the place ie pool area and new bowling shoes. It’s such a pity the food was such low quality and very poor value

Clueless stall and poor food
Feb 2020 • Family
First time I’ve been back here in a long time and certainly my last with my 5 year old. Played 2 laser quest and got a food deal...laser quest was ok but pretty lame and body suits are way too big for young children at 1.1m. The girl on the main desk was ok but it seemed many of the young staff didn’t have a clue..especially at the cafe. 2 games of laser quest where £15 and added children’s meal and adult was another £15...cafe was empty and no one really eating. I got chicken fillet burger which only filled half the bun, fries and only lettuce for salad. My son got 4 chicken nuggets and fries and only lettuce giving me reason to ask for more salad ie tomato, cucumber and onion where I then got...why not give it me in first place!? The place is pricey so at least sort your food out and give a good service too. We are currently one the road having a real ice cream and coffee with real hard working clues up staff all for under £6....I won’t be back at all. Sort it out Riverside Bowling/laser quest
