The casino is a great night out even if you do not gamble.
I have to admit I had never been to a casino before and had no idea how the tables worked, but the staff were great explaining everything to you. I did loose though. The entertainment is really good and it is a safe environment to be in, there is a lot of security and although they are not intrusive you know they are there and have everything in hand.
They have a smoking area with patio heaters overlooking the river.
Downside the drinks are expensive and the rose wine will give you the worst hangover you ever head, we all thought we had wine flu the next day. You have to join the casino 24 hours before you go, which is easily done on line.

Thank you so much for your review, You can join the casino any time any day, Photo ID is required but you can join on the night. In Regards to the drink prices, I'm sorry you feel they are expensive, However we are in line with local Bars & Restaurants in the area with regards to pricing, we also have various drinks offers on all day every day. We are glad you enjoyed your experience with us though and we do look forward to seeing you again soon. Best Wishes Grosvenor New Brighton Team

It is very hard having a Casino just by your house and even better when entertainment is on, makes for a great night out

After planning to visit the casino after a work function at the nearby floral pavillion, i was looking forward to what the night might hold.

My friends and I turned up at the foyer and underwent a short sign up, and hey presto we were in.
The foyer is fairly plain with just a desk a barrier and a security officer, directing you to the lifts.

Upstairs is vast in my opinion although i have nothing to compare it to apart from the odd james bond movie. We ordered some drinks at the fairly well stocked bar and then went to the cashier desk to get some chips. I only changed £25 as i am not a big gambler and we went round trying to pick a game to play, as my friend is an avid texas hold'em player we settled there, i am not very good and don't fully understand the etiquette behind the game so shortly moved on to the blackjack.

All the croupiers and dealers were friendly enough and were helpful with my lack of experience, i ended up coming away from the tables and just sat and had a drink with my other friends who were not gambling.

The drinks prices from what i can remember were reasonable for that kind of place, the only thing that lets the bar down is the lack of training the bar staff get when it comes to cocktails.
When asking for specific cocktails they had to refer to a small laminated guide with a very limited array of cocktails.

The bar staff were aware of this being an issue and were apologetic.

All in all i enjoyed the night the external smoking terrace was nice and i took my girlfriend back the next night to have a quiet drink.

I would definitely go back again and look forward to seeing if they do anything about the cocktails.

What an awful place. The door staff are rude, the managers don't want to know and the customer service manager seems to hate people more than the door staff.

The food is over priced, the drinks are the dearest in New Brighton and the service was terrible. G Casino lowers the tone of New Brighton.

I will not be going back.

Having visited the casino on a number of occasions over the past couple of years and it being a warm and friendly environment I am shocked this evening that it is almost being policed by strict (almost militant) bouncers. "Stand on the black strip", "hand in your umbrellas" etc etc. when I told the doorman I was going to put a review on TripAdvisor he told me to enjoy the rest of my night and laughed. Unfortunately the doormen are bullies, the friendly atmosphere has gone and it's not really a place to go anymore. Grosvenor Casinos please sort the new Brighton branch out before it's too late.

We visited for my wife's 40th as a party of 20 plus and had not booked (and on a Saturday!) Everyone had a fabulous night & the staff were amazing! Even though they were having their first dine & be entertained night with an extra 70 guests who'd booked to deal with they bent over backwards to really look after our party. We were made to feel like high rollers.
Those that had bar food said it was super. Smiles all round. Thank you Grosvenor for an unforgettable night.

Went there to play poker, couldn't quite find my membership card in my wallet quickly enough for the doormans liking and was refused entry. Rude and aggressive. Will never return

Went here for a night out. First impressions were great, nicely kitted out and efficient pleasant staff. Meal was very nice with excellent service I had the steak which was cooked just as I'd requested. It went downhill from there when we were ushered away as soon as we had finished our meals to seats right in front of the stage. We noticed a lot of " merry" people who resembled something from a channel 4 documentary starting to appear and a very drunk woman started to hassle our party. I would have expected security to have been more noticeable and would have appreciated them moving this woman away. We visited on a Bob Marley tribute night, not a Bob Marley fan but the guy was decent enough. By 11 pm I was ready to leave, it was definitely full of drunks by then who were settling in for the night.
