Drove to New Brighton today with visiting fort perch rock in mind. Attraction was closed despite website indicating it should be open today. Word CLOSED written in yellow paint across the notice boards indictates this may be a permanent status.

There is a small museum in the fort of war debris found locally. The tea room is quaint, American for small.
