Established in 1875, this independent family owned brewery is steeped in history, heritage & traditional skills, as well as a wide collection of carefully hand crafted ales. With an on-site Sample Bar, Brewery Shop & Visitor Centre, there's certainly much more to Wadworth - a visit to see our Shire Horses, who deliver our ales across town each week day, is highly recommended! The Visitor Centre is FREE admission, however fees apply to our guided tours.

Scheduled tours are available daily at 11am & 2pm, catering for up to 60 people, prices start from £9.00pp. Brewery Tours include a visit to the main production areas, our on-site Sign Studio; where guests can gaze at our unique hand painted pub signs, followed by a visit to the Stables, finishing with a tutored beer sampling session. Our Visitor Centre & Brewery Shop is open each week day from 10am-5pm (except bank holidays), and is always well stocked with your favourite Wadworth ales and gifts.

Most excellent visit. It's a lovely and interesting old building and the guide was very knowledgeable. The beer tasting was most enjoyable.

A really splendid day touring the visitor centre and learning all about beer-making and the history of Wadworths. This included a visit to see the shire horses before finishing off with some sample beer glasses back in the centre. A realyl worthwhile value for money way to spend either a morning or afternoon.

If your a beer drinker then this place is worth a visit. The trip around this brewery is a history lesson as well as lesson in brewing. If you like horses make sure you get to visit the stables, those animals are impressive. The brewery still has its pubs signs painted by hand and they have a studio on site... More

A very interesting tour of the brewery. I especially enjoyed watching the sign painter and learning the history of pub signs. It was good to get a drink afterwards too!

If you plan to visit Wiltshire soon then you must include visiting the Wadworth Visitor Centre; Devizes is also worth visiting. The centre offers a brewery tour which includes seeing the working shire horses, tasting their excellent beers, the pub sign workshop; they also have a traditional beer barrel tradesman on site (a skill which is decreasing). Wadworth Brewery is... More

Thank you for your great review - glad to hear that you enjoyed another visit to us! Sadly, we no longer have a Cooperage here at Wadworth (Alastair left us over 3 years ago), and as a business we no longer use wooden casks - however we do have a wonderful Cooperage display in our Visitor Centre which is a... This is a great brewery and the tour is fab; you visit the horses, the sign-writers, the brewery itself and then have a very generous tasting. The shop is well stocked with both beer and souvenirs. A perfect half day out!

I went to go to this "tour" which consists of a free room full of "how good we are" type photos posters and memorabilia. Then to go on a proper "tour" you had to pay £25, which I considered daylight robbery so never went on it. This is NOT Alton Towers, Wadworths, this is an old dilapidated Brewery and the... More

My husband along with my sister and brother in law all enjoyed the tour, with our guide Dek, on a Saturday morning. Dek was extremely informative, and funny, with all the historical and brewing information. The actual tour took around 1.5 hours and ended up in the mini bar in the visitor centre where we got to sample 5 ales... More

Took my husband for a birthday celebration and must say it was a very interesting visit. Lots of up and down stairs so you need to be fairly agile . The tasting at the end was really enjoyable and the plough mans lunch was very good. The visitor centre is really interesting and has lots of nice goodies to purchase.... More
