Homely at Hebden is all about breathing new life into beautiful, but forgotten, pieces of furniture. We love the quality of older pieces of furniture, along with its charm and the story it can tell. Using Chalk Paint® decorative paint by Annie Sloan these wonderful tables, chairs and cabinets, to name but a few, are given a new lease of life, allowing the people that own them to take a piece of history into their home and future. We are also keen to share our passion, we are always delighted to discuss colour combinations, paint techniques and tips with our customers.

During a visit to my daughter she took me to Homely at Hebden and we browsed around all the beautiful things in the shop. Such a variety of unusual home decor items and trinkets, what a treasure trove! I could have really spent up there, although the prices are very reasonable.
My daughter bought me one of their stone moon gazing hares as a surprise gift to bring back to Australia. Now sits on my balcony - perfect!

Bought 4 interesting chairs from the charity shop and considered refurbishing them myself. Then I remembered I had not been gifted with the skill or talent for such a task! Luckily Sarah and Michelle took them in and did an outstanding job, reupholstering the seat pads, painting, waxing and adding extra details to the legs. Voila now have amazing chairs (And got them to do a couple of display cabinets with the same colours and treatments) Easygoing talented lovely ladies who really know there stuff.

Sarah and Michelle have created a gorgeous shop here. On my last visit I bought a fabulous and huge old chest of drawers which had been expertly painted and given a new lease of life. Ive never been disappointed with anything I’ve bought from here and the guys are super helpful and friendly. My only problem is I’ve run out of house to fit more furniture in! They sell great little nick nacks and presents too. Well worth a visit if you are in town.

As well as having some great shabby chic products, which is what Homely at Hebden are all about, they are also an Annie Sloan Paint stockist and very knowledgeable regarding paint, fabric and renovation of old furniture
Recently they have also started to offer courses in furniture painting and waxing:- creating that authentic distressed look on new furniture. Take a look at their Facebook page for more event information.

Visited Hebden Bridge this weekend and stumbled across this amazing shop. Lots of fantastic painted furniture, trinkets and gifts. Bought lots. Very reasonably priced. The owners were super helpful and full of advice about painting furniture. Will be back!
