This park has been organized in the hilly area on the north-east of "Certaldo alta", therefore on the opposite side that the valley bottom (where the new city is located, around the railway station). The initiative is certainly commendable, being aimed at offering an outdoor leisure area to the Certaldo citizens, and also to those coming from outside. In fact, on the beautiful Sunday in May when we visited it, it was rather popular with the public, especially walkers and runners. However we found a weakness in the initiative: the poor signage of hiking trails that run through the park. We were indeed intending to make a ring path from Certaldo Alta up to the "San Giorsolé" settlement, then back to Certaldo through a different path; sadly, although we had a detailed route description (in Italian) and also a detailed map (both downloadable by googling "webalice adrianoassedi certaldo"), just for the path very poorly signposted we went wrong.
