Great place to watch the sunset

Not the best beach on the west coast of Nica but then they have some of the best in the world. Great for a stroll down the long beach. I was advised many times not to walk down... read more

Its a nice beach, fairly clean, in an attractive cove that also is home to the local fishermen. The water is not very clean, but probably not poisonous. The best feature is the total lack of panhandlers and vendors, and there are also several excellent beachside pubs and restaurants. For a cleaner environment, try one of the alternative beaches close... More

This is a nice beach right in the center of town. The swimming was great.Lots of restaurants on the beach. We would not suggest you take anything of value like many beaches.Sometime you can leave your towels, etc at the local restaurant while swimming.

San Juan del Sur Beach/town has a population of 25,000 (including the bits you can see) Being slightly out of season we thought it would be quiet...not at all. Funday Sunday is crazy! But during the week it's much calmer and place to make plans for your next move. The beach is nice lots of little boats sitting in the... More

SJDS beach is very nice. There are several restaurants and bars right on the beach. The water is nice but the surf can be a little dangerous at times. The town itself is very nice and there are several things to do in the area. We have visited SJDS on both our trips to Nicaragua and it is definitely one... More

Its not the nicest beach I've ever been to, but its nice. The sand is a bit stoney, and not perfectly clean, but nice to walk along or jump into the sea from.

The beach is in a bay so sheltered from big waves. Nice soft sand, shallow water a long way out so very good for swimming. The beach is a good pathway to town if you are staying close to the far sides of the beach. No crowds in November. The water is cool enough to be refreshing.

Just returned from here and this has to be amongst my 10 personal best beaches...Huge and picturesque..full of fishing boats and happening bars and restaurants..I think my most favourite thing ever was the deck chairs provided by certain restaurants on the beach! So reminded me of England, and something I havent seen before...I got some of the best photos I have... More

Beautiful bay tucked in between the cliffs! Everything you could want in a tucked away little Oceanside fishing village. Very clean and safe beach.

In San Juan del sure there is a nice clean beach no visible sewer running into it not a lot of foul smelling creeks. Lots of bars and late night activities. And friendly people. If you are passing threw the southern zone of Nicarauga you should put this one on the list.
