A large garden of a wealthy merchant family. This one had a lot of appeal and enjoyed walking in there with my guide, he provided a lot of insight into this garden. A hotel is also inside here, but no real amenities for the hotel...More

Interesting old place, more a rich people house that a garden. Lots of rooms, courtyards, nooks and crannies to explore at your heart content and speed. Great collection of bonsai trees. The main garden with waterfalls is also very nice. Well worth a visit.

Beautiful and old charm buildings and gardens to wander around. Fairly extensive buildings with rich history to catch a glimpse of rich family in the past.

Lots of bonsai trees & other vegetation in the courtyards here. The house itself is interesting to wander around & was relatively quiet during our visit. The gardens were undergoing some renovation when we went which was disappointing as they were off limits. But overall...More

Beautiful buildings and gardens and peaceful to wander round. Fairly extensive so allow at lease a couple of hours for a visit.

Zhu must have been a very wealthy person because this complex is huge! It's very pretty, well preserved and relaxing.

Very interesting huge old place ,with lot of houses and court yards. All are in a good condition,keep to preserve the old culture.lot of flower everywhere.Very nice place where you can sleep as well.

Maybe you have been Suzhou Garden near Shanghai, however, should you visit YUNNAN, I do suggest to come to JIANSHUI town, to feel the less developed town, to taste Toufu BBQ, to see the second biggest Confusion temple which has over 700 years. This garden...More

Wonderfull private owned house with harden. One of few houses where we can still see furniture as well as good maintenance of the house.
