the outside of the temple is all that we were allowed to visit. Around the back - another entrance has a lovely domed ceiling. The property also has the second largest mosque in Xinjiang and the mosque could certainly do with a vacuum and dusting.

although very important to locals, this is not a must see attraction by any standard, it is not well maintained, and unless you are a bit bored , you can skip.

Worth a short visit. No much to do around, but if you are already in Kuche. Very nice carved wooden columns.

We found this as part of wandering around the old city. It's not as grand as the mosque in Kashgar, but we liked it. We had it to ourselves. The main prayer hall is worn, with carved wooden columns and prayer carpets to accommodate 3000. It was very peaceful and pleasant for a short visit. Tickets were 15 RMB.

The Kuqa Grand Mosque is very quietly welcoming in a small lovely neighborhood. There isn't much to do but have a look around, but the prayer room is enormous and fits 3,000 people and everyone was so kind to us.
