This is a great place to go whether you're camping, or just spending the day!! There are lots of activities to do-swimming, fishing, hiking trails, playground, pavilions, and picnic tables that are shaded. They also have a concession stand that offers cold & hot food. If you're camping, they have different activities, like guided tours/ movie nights/ etc., and the... More

Absolutely beautiful place to spend a day. The parkfacilities have been upgraded over the past few years. The lake is clean and very refreshing. The campground has electricity and modern bath houses. Highly recommend.

This is really a nice park. Sand beach makes it fun for games. The water is cold because the water comes from streams. If you like camping and fishing, they have camping spots and the lake and streams are good for fishing.

We have camped at Greenwood Furnace State Park, off and on, for the past forty years. It has always been fun. This past week, we enjoyed the company of family and friends around the campfire, at the lake and, hiking. The facilities include showers, restrooms, snack bar at the lake and a campsite host. Cell service is only available when... More

It was fun in the cool water with a small dam. A place for hiking and enjoying the natural environment. Many visits here as a child and a great spot for family reunions.

There is a nice sandy beach and cool water in a lake with a small dam. Changing houses and restrooms are available. Concessions open in summer. Historical information and hiking trails are sign posted.

One of my favorites to go for a picnic, hike or just to relax. Been going there since a kid and never gets old. Lots to see and do. From the furnace itself, to the museum, to volleyball, or taking a dip (though usually freezing) in the water; there is a lot to satisfy all. Love renting a pavilion here... More

We passed this park on the way to Whipple Dam State Park. After spending the day at Whipple, we returned to Greenwood Furnace around 4pm. Very nice area, and would love to spend a whole day here. Swimming area with beach was better than most state parks. The furnace and it's history were also very interesting. Not very busy at... More
