Pretty much picked Bald Eagle SP for early summer family camping trip because these guys rented boats. My 7 year old daughter LOVES boats. They didn't disappoint. We rented a fishing boat, a newer 17' Lowe semi-vee with a brand new 20 hp Mercury 4 -stroke. Not the most powerful, but you avoid the coast guard course nonsense. The boat was very well maintained, looking over the rest of the rental fleet, you can tell they take pride in keeping their rentals in top shape. The staff was excellent, very friendly, welcoming and helpful. I would not hesitate to rent again, or recommend them to anyone looking for a nice, clean, RELIABLE, safe boat rental. These skiffs are easy enough for a novice, it's a great way to see an added dimension to a trip to the lake. You also get to glide up to almost the base of the bald eagle nest. Great way to see them in their natural habitat.

While visiting State College I took a side trip out to Bald Eagle Lake and found this hidden gem. The boats were in great shape and the staff was very knowledgeable and helpful. They had everything I needed and more. Spent a beautiful day on the water for a more than fair price. I will absolutely be back and bringing my family. Wonderful experience and very close to State College.

I had no idea that this place even existed until I saw an ad for them on Facebook...loving to jetski, I made the 2 hour trip to find a BEAUTIFUL state park and this rental place. The workers were courteous and helpful, top notch...the entire place was clean and the jetski ran great. Would HIGHLY recommend-them!!

We had a great time renting a boat here and tubing on the lake. Online they have the boats listed with the prices. A few of the boats are labeled new. We rented one of the newer boats and it was in great shape. I saw some reviews somewhere where they mentioned the boats not being in good shape. I think if that is a concern, then you should rent a new boat. The boat ran great and was comfortable. I also read a review somewhere about the staff not being interested, but not doing anything wrong. I completely understand this comment now. The staff will answer your questions and they do their job, however don't expect a friendly smile or any enthusiasm from them. I also read posts about the Covid response and them coming outside to check you in. This is not happening any more. You have to go in the shop. They do have plexiglass up and the worker was wearing a mask. The guys helping you check in/out the boats did not wear a mask. I would have rated this a 4 or 5 as we had a great time here. We will also be coming back in the future to rent another boat. The reason I marked this a 3 is that I tried for 4 -- 5 days to get ahold of them with a question about the rental and no one would call me back or email me back. Eventually after I called again multiple times another day I did get a call back and an answer to my question. The refund policy is you can cancel up to 24 hours before and get all your money back. If you don't cancel and there is a thunderstorm, they will give you a voucher to rent the boat in the future. My kids can't wait to come back and go tubing again.

Rented a pontoon boat for a sunset cruise- just my husband and I. It was beautiful - the lake was serene and everything went smoothly. The staff were helpful and courteous. It was costly but we opted for renting a boat a few times a year, instead of incurring the costs and physical labor involved in owning one. it works for us and the lake at Bald Eagle State Park is conveniently close.

We rented the pontoon tubing boat for 2hrs on Tuesday morning.... perfect timing!!! Lake had about 5 other boats out and for us first time boat drivers that was ideal. The staff was two young men who were neither rude or overly interested... just doing the job. Boats were nice a bit worn but to be expected with rentals. The life vests were not cleaned prior to use (body Oder smell) so bring your own if you happen to have them. The tube seemed new. The experience was awesome!!! We had a pretty good storm the night before so expected mountain lake water to be chilly but shockingly it was warm. The rental price does not include gas usage, that is charged at the end, 2hrs of use ours was $12. Overall the total for 2hrs plus gas was approximately $170 which we thought was reasonable compared to similar rentals at the beach for inlet/bay use. Overall we were thrilled with the experience and would do again and recommend to friends. The only exception to that being if the lake was busy with other boaters.

This place is amazing!! Great service--friendly, patient staff and super-clean boats! We went with a group of our grandkids of all ages and had a blast with the pancake boating. The very helpful and patient staff was a bonus. Thanks for a great outing!!

The manager who helped us on two different days was very helpful and friendly. We rented a kayak and a motorboat. Prices are reasonable. Location is good. The store also sells bait, tackle, and a few other supplies.

Bald Eagle Park was a good place to rent a bike and ride. Price wasn't too bad, $8+tax for first hour and $4+tax for each additional hour. No maps of park so I was on my own. Staff didn't explain how to work gear shifters so I had a hard time with them.
